We arrived from a long car trip and arrived in this lovely hotel.
This hotel is very charming. wooden decoration is simple but of a very good taste.
Rooms are very nice but if you can get a sea view room, do not hesitate (a little bit more expensive but it's worth it).
Very peaceful place with a helpful team. Not far from the center but enough to be away from the noise of the bars!
The food is of very good quality, it's too bad they do not serve diner.
If you go to Montezuma, I would definitely recommend this place.

,,,because then they might get more popular and we won't be able to get in next time! Just kidding, they deserve more business and WILL get it regardless of whether I keep them a secret or not :) Which brings me to my point -- this hotel HAS to be Montezuma's best kept secret.

It is simply adorable. It's romantic. It's beautiful, The views are breathtaking. There are hammocks everywhere, exotic birds brilliant flowers, tide pools, lounge chairs, etc. Our room was decorated with a very personal style, and had its own little back patio with two lounge chairs, a little table, a hammock chair, and tropical flowers. They serve breakfast and lunch every day which they cook in their own kitchen, and the eating area looks out on Nicoya Bay. The food is fresh, organic, delicious, perfectly seasoned -- in a word -- amazing.

The staff is very friendly and accommodating; very accessible, helpful with traveling tips and getting there, and with arranging and recommending expeditions. Ammi is your go-to girl -- she hooked us up with everything imaginable! I miss this place so much already, and it's a huge reason I'll definitely be visiting Costa Rica again -- hopefully sooner than later!

We were fortunate enough to have spent five nights in the Casa del Sol house at Amor de Mar. It is a beautiful location and the grounds are so tranquil that time literally stood still. The staff was extremely helpful and very responsive. The location is ideal for walking to town and to the various beaches. The staff even arranged for us to get some fresh fish, and we had a grill right in front of the house for cooking that the staff made sure had sufficient wood for a decent fire.
The only downfalls here were that it is right on the road and there can be quite a bit of road noise from ATV's, motorbikes and cars. The house itself has no air con although it does have fans and you do need to use the mosquito nets provided. We had cooking facilities in the house and therefore did not try out their restaurant. We would definitely stay there again.

We arrived at the Amor De Mar and we were truly blown away by how nice everything was. After looking at photos and reviews online we knew that we wanted to stay there and it wasn't until we got settled in that we truly began to appreciate the setting and the little details that make this such a great place to stay. First off the entire property is spotless. The rooms were extremely clean and the bathrooms were really nice and had a nice modern touch. The furniture throughout the hotel was amazing, it was like every piece was made for the place. All the detail and care that was put into the hotel, truly made it special. The gardens were gorgeously landscaped and very well maintained, it was so nice having so many options of hammocks or lounge chairs to choose from, all facing the incredible view. The tidal pool was a really nice bonus as the beach out front is rocky, it was a great place for an dip as the water is warm and crystal clear. The hotel is located right across the street to the trail taking you to the waterfalls, and is a short walk along the dirt road into town. The staff at Amor de Mar were truly amazing! They were so friendly, helpful and welcoming! Although we only had breakfast, the food was awesome!! We totally would recommend Amor de Mar and can't wait to go back!
