We stayed at Kalapiti for 5 nights - we are a family of 4, the kids are 7 and 11. We absolutely could not recommend it highly enough - it was paradise. On the website it looks like a small hotel, but it's actually a private house with a personal chef. Home made ingredients are laid on for your breakfast - freshly baked bread, house made yoghurts and compotes, eggs, etc. Then Miguel, owner, chef, neighbor and all round awesome guy, is on hand to cook whatever your heart desires for lunch and dinner. We ate like kings. He even cooked a different dish for our crazy children who turn their noses up at Seafood Paella, fresh caught whole baked fish or lobsters. The house is a dream, 2 enormous suites (one with a second mini bedroom that we had to kick our kids out of into their own suite), both with gorgeous bathrooms, decorated with huge tropical flower arrangements. Miguel and team have a luxurious eye for detail - flower petals, bathrobes, all the 5 star knick knacks were replenished each day. The pool was huge, warm, fantastic - the kids spent most of the time barreling down the water slide. It was perfect. We managed to get out one day to go zip lining, but the rest of our visit was spent enjoying the beautiful surroundings and Miguel's attentive hospitality. We will definitely be back.
