If you're looking for a nice perch to live out your Montezuma experience, this place is outstanding! One of the coolest places I've stayed on Earth! First of all, our host Peter and his family were gracious, helpful and knowledgeable about the many things Montezuma has to offer. As for the cabana... stunning. For a lack of a better comparison, it's like staying in the Captain's quarters of a Brig at sea with the exception that you're positioned at the edge of a cliff 300 feet above the ocean. Most of the building materials are recycled or "found" wood objects that further reinforce the ship-like qualities of the house. Rustic but refined! The composition is rounded off with a full kitchen, day bed, crows nest bedroom, outdoor shower with tile patio, clotheslines, dining nook and a large deck hanging over the cliff with 180 degree views of the coastline. If the interior floor plan feels small, no problem. Simply open the folding door separating the kitchen from the deck and you can double the square footage. I could live there.

This beautiful little house is the perfect place for a romantic vacation. It's hidden in the Mountans of Montezuma and right on the cliff with a perfect ocean view. I saw the pictures before I booked it but it's way better than I ever expected it. The owners live in the house next to it and they are very nice. I couldn't complain about anything...Just make sure to get a 4x4 when you rent a car because the roads to the house are not the best...

Montezuma Heights offers a perfect getaway for a solo traveler or couple looking for seclusion, tranquility, and a beautiful view. The accomodations are not for the luxury traveler. Instead, it offers an escape from the distractions of everyday life. If you enjoy a quiet cup of coffee in the morning with a wonderful view, this is your place.

You will get your share of wildlife right at your cabin. During my stay I saw plenty of birds (of all sizes and colors), monkeys, lizards, butterflies, and more.

The location offers great access to the quaint towns of Montezuma and Cabuya, or an easy drive across the Nicoya Peninsula provides access to the great surfing beaches of Playa Mal Pais and Playa Santa Teresa.

Finally, the owners are very helpful and have a wealth of knowledge about the area. They can offer great suggestions for activities and eating. The cabin was kept very clean by a lovely Costa Rican lady who was pleasant and accomodating.
