“Pretty lame”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2013

Stopped in for lunch one day. Spent $50+ for 4 of us. Two of us ordered the veggie sandwich. Ice berg lettuce, tomato wedges, zucchini spears, and a sliver of onion on toasted white bread... underwhelming and impossible to eat without destroying it because they didn't slice up the contents for a sandwich. So-so bruschetta, and disappointing chimichurry. Decent guacamole but with pedestrian chips.

“Not worth the money and dishonest”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2013

This place has a really cosy and inviting atmosphere and offers live music, which makes it stand out initially. However as another reviewer said, the service was "sweet" but not good. The open mic night music was so loud that you couldn't have a conversation. We ordered a plate of pasta that was supposed to come with shrimp and calamari. It had shrimp only. To me, that is unacceptable - the dish should never have been placed on the table without them mentioning that one of the key ingredients was missing. We should have been given the opportunity to order something else. Without the squid it was bland, plain tomato sauce on pasta and some shrimp. They gave us barely a discount (500 colones) and were very unpleasant about it. The dish cost about 11 dollars. I got the distinct impression that they probably never have squid on hand and just mislead people into overpaying, though of course I have no proof of this. Otherwise the menu is disappointingly limited and bland. The "pesto" is made of avocado to give the green colour and not much else. I didn't see anything organic about the food. The appetizers are tiny and expensive (we were served 2 slices of plantain in the 5 dollar patacones dish, which is absurd). Finally, if you are coming from abroad and hoping for even a vaguely Costa Rican experience, don't bother, because the staff barely speaks Spanish and the patrons seem to be largely foreigners/expats.

“LOVE the iced coconut coffee!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2013

Wonderful spot in the middle of Montezuma town - creative, energetic vibe and usually filled will cool and lively spirits. The coffee selections are great, and the iced coconut coffee is amazing! Food is average and service is somewhat slow...

“Yummy Food, Live Music, Great People”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2013

Organico is one of my favorite places in Montezuma. The food is healthy and delicious and they always have live music in the evenings. Mondays is open mic, and it is so fun to see all the amazing talent passing through Montezuma. Enjoy!
