All the hype about Sleepers is true. The proprietor, Ronnie, and his family were all incredibly nice and helpful. Our room was great, and we had an incredible view. Breakfast was provided, and tea and coffee all day. Really, the location was very good, it was quiet, and clean. Even the young man who worked there was always smiling and helpful. We had absolutely no problems with getting tours to drop us off there, and the little town was within walking distance.

This hostel was perfect for our 3-night stay in Monteverde. The breakfast was excellent and was included in the price. Ronnie and his wife were super nice and helped us plan our activities, giving great advice. My favorite activities were the extreme canopy tour, the coffee tour, and hiking the cloud forest reserve (the guide is totally worth it!). The rooms were clean, free internet at the hostel, and it had a really nice, safe, and homey atmosphere. It was easy to go Jeep-Boat-Jeep to La Fortuna, but it takes about 4 hours. This hostel was fabulous. I would absolutely stay there again!

This place is very clean, hot water, NICE, free internet, and so cheap~~~ Its what every hostel should be. Anywhere else is just a rip off!!! AND FREE BREAKFAST, Helpful family, best hostel I've ever stayed in.

Let me just say, I liked this place before I even got there because of email correspondence with the owner, Ronny. He was super friendly and helpful with giving me advice on Monteverde, his hostel, tours, etc.....When we got there we found that the room and bathroom were very clean and comfy. The hostel is fairly new so everything is in great condition and our room faced the hills, not the road, very important if you are bothered by traffic noise. We were there for one night, wished we could of stayed longer, but had other places to see, anyway, the rate was $25 for one night/ private room and private bath, wonderul full breakfast included (coffee, fresh fruit, granola and eggs just the way you like them). We also booked tours to Canopy Zip Line, Jeep-Boat-Jeep, Arenal/Hot Springs and Cano Negro through Ronny....I looked around and he gave us very reasonable prices. Anyway, don't look any further, if you are looking for hospitable and friendly owners, great advice and nice location, you NEED TO STAY AT SLEEPERS. PURA VIDA!
