My husband and I stayed at the La Colina Lodge in June 2006 for one night. We liked that the lodge was close to the Monte Verde park, we did the after dark tour which was very interesting.
This lodge has 2 buildings - we stayed in the building farther away from the road, so dust was not an issue. The room was very small, it had 2 beds and a small nightstand with nothing else in the room. However the room was cheerfully painted and the bathroom had been decorated with glass mosaic tiles. The owner of this lodge is an artist who has painted just about every wall and stick of furniture in a very colorful manner. The owners were very helpful with making arrangements and offering advice on what to do in the area.
We paid $35 including tax and breakfast. Note: My husband suffered a bout of food poisoning hours after eating breakfast - however we don't know for sure where he might of picked up the bug.
