I spent 2 nights here with my family, which consisted of my husband, and 3 kids, ages 12, 10 and 8. The hotel is somewhat remote. Renting a GPS was one of the best moves we made. I'm not sure we would have found the place without it. Definitely worth the money.
As we traveled on in Costa Rica I listened to other tourists adventures and they did not compare to all that we got to do at Hotel Vista Golfo. We purchased the platinum package, which consisted of 2 nights lodging, 2 tours and all of our meals. We did the 1 hour horseback ride and canopy tour and the high ropes course. We felt spoiled by the number of guides we had. My 8 year old daughter was nervous about the canopy tour, so a guide stayed strapped to her the entire time. Other peoples canopy tours were much smaller and didn't go over water, many people mentioned that on their tour they had to wait in lines to go on the next zipline. None of that happened here! It was extremely well run, safe, and an amazing experience. I was a little hesitant about the high ropes course, it ended up being fabulous! It was challenging, fun and gave our family an amazing bonding time. I swear my kids are better people after this trip. We had to encourage each other, trust each other and depend on each other. The view from the property is amazing and the owners are fabulous caring people, the staff was superb as well. If you come to Costa Rica...this is a must do!!!
