“Amazing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 7, 2013

We went here on our recent trip to Costa Rica. I cannot say enough about the hospitality of the staff. One of the guides, Daniel, picked us up at the airport. He was very helpful answering our questions along the drive and helping us to get lunch. The drive was very scenic as well. The room we were given had breathtaking views as well as the area in general. Our first night Sasha(not sure on the spelling) waited on us during dinner. The restaurant area again provides beautiful scenery. The chef and Sasha accommodated our needs as we had 2 guests who were allergic to various items. The food was excellent. The following day we did the canopy waterfall ziplines. This is my 4th time to zipline and by far my favorite. The views are amazing!! The chance to swim in the middle was fun. The guides, Daniel, Patricio, Werner, and Petey were excellent. They looked out for our safety as well as making sure we all enjoyed the time. We did the superman zipline at the end... Do not miss this opportunity, you will regret it! We had lunch before departing and as always, the food was perfectly prepared. Daniel, the guide, gave us a ride back into San Jose. If I could stress one thing about this experience it would be that the guides/ workers are the most hospitable I've ever encountered. The owners were not so friendly and could probably learn from them in this area. It is a sign of a job well done, when guests want to return solely based on the treatment they received during their stay!!

Started off great with immediate Skype answers from Sasha from my home. Great ride with Daniel from the SJO airport and got better from there as we started our adventures. Excellent zip lines, excellent guides (Daniel, Pete, Patricio, and Werner) I've been zip lining several times in several places ( including Costa Rica) and this is by far the best place I've been. Definitely do the 700 meter Super Man zip line. The most incredible view from the rooms that matched the incredible food and service in the restaurant area. Can't say enough good things about this place...just go! I will be doing this again!!!

We went with the sole purpose of the zip line tour. We were staying at a bed and breakfast in San Ramon about 40 minutes away. All of the guides had a great time. Our group wasn't to big, so we didn't feel rushed. The next time I come to Costa Rica I will definitely be repeating this experience.

The hotel/adventure park are located high up in the mountains near Miramar, making for an incredibly scenic view during the day and an impeccable view of the stars at night.

The altitude certainly lends itself well to the ziplining courses. We did both the night course and the longer day course and had a great time on each. The superman finale to the night course would have alone been worth the price of admission, and the variety on the day course—swimming in a waterfall pool and rappelling—made for an excellent experience. The guides on both courses were very professional and safety-conscious, which helped put as at ease while flying a couple thousand feet in the dark. (They even had a few tricks up their sleeves on what would have otherwise been relatively mundane ziplines, but I won’t ruin those for you.)

The food at the hotel restaurant was quite easily the greatest surprise—not just of our stay—but of our entire trip. The food that was served for breakfast, lunch, and dinner was easily some of the best we have ever had. Chicken tacos, marinated tenderloin, chicken Bolognese; all were unbelievable and were made even more so when we learned they were prepared and cooked singlehandedly by the chef.

The service throughout was spectacular, and paired with the ziplining and gourmet cuisine, this hotel/adventure park is absolutely a must-visit.

I visited in April with the express purpose of doing the zip-line and high-ropes course. I didn't realize that the place only has 6 rooms which would make this place perfect for a couples get-away - I guess most of their business comes from cruise ships and nearby Pacific hotels The room I stayed in was really big, clean, nice beds, and had a great view overlooking the pool and building that housed the office, lobby and restaurant. First things first- I had the best spaghetti Bolognese I've ever eaten ANYWHERE. ANYWHERE. Also an amazing dish containing chicken, beef, bacon, fresh veggies... So here I am, talking to Chris (one of the guides) about how incredible the food is, and he tells me the cook is just filling in. Are you kidding? She should have a restaurant in New York, or Tokyo, or Paris --- By morning, a dozen or so people have assembled for the zip line adventure. We get suited-up with harnesses, climb into a 4-wheel safari-type truck, and head up the mountain. So we're at the first line and the guides give us instructions on what to do, and we're off! Shooting from tree-to-tree, always connected with safely clips. About 5 lines into the trip you see a really, really steep line, and you think you're gonna die. That's where we get a quick class on rappelling. So much fun - no one chickened out, no one died :-). People from their 20s to 60's or 70's - as long as you're in decent shape you can do this. I think they said the longest line was over 1,500 feet - you couldn't even see the other platform thru the trees. Later, there was a chance to jump in a pool at the bottom of a waterfall, then more lines to the end. (I did the zip lines 2 days in a row) Day 3 I did the high-ropes course where they start you off a few feet off the ground, and the next thing you know you're 50-60 feet up - negotiating a pretty tricky (fun but challenging) course. You need to be in good shape for this, but it's definitely worth it. They also have ATVs, horses, a large climbing wall, and plenty of paths to wander. One morning a toucan showed up in the restaurant for breakfast- how cool is that? They also have a very nice pool. Now a few side notes: in the 'off hours' the restaurant is closed and there are no vending machines, so if you didn't bring snacks, you're out of luck. You're kind of in the middle of nowhere - at least not within walking distance. They have desserts, but for some reason didn't suggest any til I asked. The owners are a bit reserved, but the rest of the staff more than makes up for it with their warmth. Chris and Daniel were stand-outs - just fabulous. Great place for couples, adventure-seekers, or if you're looking for a place to decompress.

We embarked on a 19 day cruise thru the Panama Canal in April 2013. Friends had been on a similar cruise itinerary and raved about their Zip Line experience at the Adventure Park. We contacted them via Internet prior to our cruise and Jorge answered every question and suggested that we register on-line to receive a discount. When we docked at Puntarenas, their representative, Daniel, was waiting for us as promised. We drove to the Adventure Park in a clean air conditioned vehicle with 4 other guests from our ship. Once we arrived at the Adventure Park, we met Jorge, who got us signed up and ready to go. We received our equipment, loaded into a special 4 wheel Drive vehicle and drove to the Zipline course with Daniel and his team.

We were given a quick course in Zip line protocol and we were off and running. Wow, wow, wow! What an adrenalin filled adventure it was. The scenery was amazing, the zip lines were phenomenal, Daniel was a great guide and instructor and we had a blast!

If Puntarenas is on your Costa Rica itinerary, we strongly recommend this adventure!

My sister and I had an awesome time here. We've been on Zipline Tours before but none over waterfalls or that included rappelling. We even drove there from Jaco which was about an hour and a half trip in the car. That was our first experience driving Costa Rican roads outside of our local area. Also somewhat of an adventure for non-Spanish speaking people. From the moment we arrived, we knew we were in for a treat. The scenery was beautiful. The hosts were gracious, The Guides were extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The whole group got along well together. I can definitely say that everything that all the other reviewers rave about, we experienced as well. Definitely worth the trip. We would do it again.
