This hotel is a gem! The service is wonderful, the rooms are beautiful and spacious and the food is absolutely delicious! The hotel gives you the feeling that you are in your own private paradise! We stayed for three nights and the saddest part was leaving! Breakfast was wonderful and we even got a visit from white faced monkeys on our porch! Trust your vacation to issimo! You will not be disappointed

We have just completed a wondrous 7 day stay at the Issimo Suites. From our early contact with the desk/reservation staff -Arelli, Ivania, Adriana, Andrea, Damaris ,and Maday we were made to feel at ease and they were fantastic with quick and thorough responses to all of our questions. Upon arrival , our driver Corrado "Andretti" was efficient, entertaining, very courteous and very "exciting" in his efforts to get us to the hotel quickly. The restaurant is excellent. We were attended to by Dixon, Geiner, and Cesar who delivered amazing creations by chefs Fernando and Francisco. Our housekeeper, Albania, was an artist in her presentation of towel and flower creations. There are others that should be mentioned, including Jimy the night guard, but I don't have all of the names.
All made us feel like family and that no request was a bother. The rooms are wonderful, views unsurpassed, and the location convenient for short cab rides to any area restaurant or attraction.
My wife enjoyed the spa and all types of "excursions" can be arranged by the attentive front desk people.
I don't know what else to say other than go enjoy the Issimo Suites! Pura Vida!

Room Tip: All rooms from main level and above have nice views

The layout of this hotel is pretty awesome - everything is open and airy. We booked our room on Expedia, and it kind of felt like a dungeon. It was the ONLY room that was down a dark stairwell, and the lighting inside was not warm or welcoming. There is NO wi-fi in the guest rooms, only at the pool and in the lobby. On our last night there was some kind of LARGE animal stuck in the crawl space above our ceiling. The thing was scary loud, banging into and scratching whatever things were up there. When we went to notify someone there was no one around. The parking lot security guy spoke zero English, so we put in some earplugs and hoped the mystery animal didn't fall through the ceiling.

Room aside, the location is awesome. It is a short yet steep walk to a beautiful little beach called Playa Beisanz, with monkeys in the trees lining the street. The opposite direction (up the hill) has a couple awesome restaurants, two of which we went to more than once.

I would stay here again but request a different room!

Room Tip: Don't let them give you room 110.

A few friends and I stayed here for a week. It was lovely. The staff was friendly, the wifi was great (free), the view, the pool, all amazing.

The rooms have spectacular view and are very clean and most importantly, air conditioned. The bathroom/shower set up
Is interesting, it is essentially all part of the room with these half walls separating it. I found it to be okay for the shower situation but a bit uncomfortable for the toilet situation.

Breakfast was included. There was a traditional breakfast, fruit and an omelette station which was great.

The lunch and dinner menu at the restaurant were the same. The pasta was good. The only thing missing was some pool type food (like fries or nachos) to order, bummer. The drinks were great but pricey.

The staff was great in helping us to book and plan activities including our shuttle flight to San Jose.

Getting to Manuel Antonio: Sansa shuttle is absolutely the way to go. Bus shuttles (private) run about $60. The flight shuttle is about $90 but gets you get there in a quarter of the time (30 min flight versus a 3 hr bus shuttle).

Just a side note: if you buy anything within the international airport in San Jose (drinks) make sure to drink it before you are about to board bc they take it from you and won't allow you to take it on the plane (annoying).

The room and service here were all that we could ask for. Shower, hot tub, bed, couches, with flower petals on the bed every night when we got back. There are great restaurants a short drive away. Monkeys were passing through and curious about the food one morning. There is a lesser traveled beach within walking distance also.

My wife and I stayed here for four nights this month, and we loved everything about it. Adults only, and only a total of twelve rooms. Very personable - all of the staff was extraordinary, particularly Dickson, the evening waiter. A spacious room with a hot tub, fresh flowers in the room and on the bed every day. Stunning view of the ocean below from the balcony, and visits by monkeys to our balcony in the morning. Very quiet neighborhood, but it's a steep walk down to the beach. If you want a day at the beach, grab a cab to Manuel Antonio or others in the area. But this is an exceptional place to relax, unwind, and get a little pampering. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!
