“Not for families!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2012 via mobile

Beaches in Costa Rica are not people friendly unless u r a surfer or a fisherman. Very scenic but if you're not into overly active days don't go. My best but if advice that I can give to anyone going to Costa Rica is to get a SIM card at the airport for you phone I got a local number with 200 minutes and 15 days of unlimited Internet for my iPhone for $15. Cheapest package in the world. And you must have Waze if u r planning on driving there. There are hardly any signs and no street numbers. Lots of luck.

“One the best beach in the area”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2012

Large beach, white sand and warm water. We were there just before the Christmas holidays and the beach was pratically empty. You can surf, you can rent a jet-ski, you have restaurants right accross the beach. Just be careful to not let you belongings alone, there could disappeared.

“Beautiful beach - wonderful place to swim”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2012

The beach is gorgeous - it has the feel of a movie set. It is a divine place to swim and a great place for a range of activities from parasailing to sitting under a beach umbrella. You can rent umbrellas and chairs - the prices seem very negotiable. We were advised to keep an eye on our possessions (one person kept an eye on things while the others were swimming). However, we did not have any problems. There are great waves at this beach, although if calm waters are more your thing, there are many enclosed coves.

“Beautiful Beach!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 25, 2012

Gorgeous beach, gentle tide, warm water ... swimmer's paradise. Watch where you leave your stuff, especially if you brought food, as the monkeys and raccoons are not afraid of people and will raid your stuff looking for anything edible.

“Nice beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 24, 2012

Nice grey sandy beach with no rocks. The beach is a great walking beach, with surfing rentals and a few bars
