“shortest walk to beach”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 4, 2013

There are two reasons to stay here; lots of parking and next to the beach. The room was average for the price and the restaurant was average food at high prices. Parking is hard to find near the beach so we were happy to find it safe and plentiful. AC was great to have in the humid climate. Great places to eat a couple of blocks away, follow the side street uphill towards the national park.

“Best location in the area”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2013

Excellent location right across the street from the public beach. Appreciated a room with balcony facing the ocean. The hotel itself is dated and the rooms could use refurbishing. Breakfast was included, and nothing special. We had trouble adjusting the air conditioning in the room (with 95 degrees outside, we were very appreciative of it).

“Awesome location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 18, 2013

The Hotel is at the end of the road, just a couple minute walk to the beach and some awesome sunsets, it so convenient to the area, the owners are very pleasant, the bus to Quepos stops right in front, prices are reasonable, the restaurant is great, I just love to have a cup of coffee in the morning and listening to the surf break on the beach.

Room Tip: I like the ones facing the beach on the second floor, avoid the other side

“Last minute”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2012

We found this hotel after driving around a bit and stayed for 3 nights. If you pay cash they give you a better price. Very very good location as the entrance and exit for the park is right next to the hotel. We saw others that had to drive down the hill to get to the beaches and park and parking was just a mess.
The hotel itself seemed very clean considering the location. The hallways were mopped a couple of times a day, and we got new towels/sheets everyday.
Only downside is having to drive to the hill to go to restaurants, but other than that was great!

“Charming, Friendly and Location, Location, Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2012

You cannot beat the location and value of this quaint little family owned hotel which is literally steps from the beach and the Manuel Antonio National Rain Forest. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and the ceviche in the cafe is superb. Don't waste your time on a $60 "Monkey Tour". A family of monkeys visits the cafe every day between 4:30 and 5:00. Buy them some bananas and you'll have new friends for life!

Room Tip: Second floor rooms on the beach side have an incredible view.
