“British Fish and Chips in Costa Rica”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2013

Newly opened I was eager to try the "only" fish/chips in the area. Beer battered fish, home fries, served with a great tartar sauce and malt vinegar. Fifi the restaurant dog adds to make your dining experience relaxed.

“Amazing fish and chips!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 13, 2013

Better than any fish and chips found in Toronto by far, and there are a lot. The fish was fresh and battered perfectly and the cole slaw was to die for. I just wish she opened a location in Toronto so I could eat it more often. Good prices and friendly staff, all around great! I highly recommend to stop in for a bite to eat after visiting the national park.

“Good food, friendly service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2013

Ten of us decided to try this small restaurant in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica and we were all glad we did. The staff were very friendly and courteous and the food was very good. As the name implies, it is strictly a fish and chips place and is comparable to good similar places in North America. El Gato Pescador has only been open for six weeks but nothing indicated its young age, i.e., service and quality of food. The fish was prepared with a beer batter and the fries were freshly cut. We wish great success to its owners.

“Freshest fish and tastiest sauces”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 1, 2013

El Gato Pescador has some of the best fast food in the area. The fish balls with tartar or chipotle sauce cannot be beat. Of course the fish with an option of onion rings or french fries is a must. In an area where all the prices are high it is a reasonably priced alternative for something especially delicious.
