“Fantastic, relaxed hostile!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 days ago NEW via mobile

I checked in at Plinio planning to stay only a night or two, and will now be staying for more than a week. The staff is very friendly, they allow you to store your bags here prior to check in, size able and clean kitchen, clean rooms and bathrooms, great lounge space to relax in and it's beautiful. Very open, hammocks, swings atop their 3rd floors... Really great. Don't be intimidated that it's access requires bus or taxi. It's a very short and easy drive from either Quepos or Manuel Antonio, and costs only about 50¢ to a $.

Excelent location and view. Sourrended by nature but in a good point where you can take the bus to the beache or Park (5 min) or to quepos, the city (2min). The públic bus s tops everything 15 minutes. The hotel, staff and pool just amazing. Hermoso lugar, habitaciones limpias y hermosaa. La gente muy buena onda.

Manuel Antonio is such an amazing town and the national park is brilliant. We saw 6 sloths and more monkeys than we could count on a simple walk through. We had an outstanding stay in Plinio where the atmosphere is relaxed, the staff are really helpful and friendly, and the views are great. We couldn't have asked for more.

We are a yound couple and we liked this hostel. it looks great, the pool is nice and the owners are very friendly. the common area is great, and the kitchen is not complete but functionnal.
On the negative side, there is no hot water, and no walls in the private room, pn the side facing the street. there is only a net to keep the insects out, which does not seem to work so well. the sheets could use a bit of bleach and the breakfast is not really a breakfast. we were happy we had brought cereals with us.

I ended up staying 5 nights in this hostel and I loved it. Ofcourse not everything is perfect (cold shower, could use some extra cleaning), but for a hostel it was truly amazing. Good pool and a great bar with awesome food at night. Not a partyhostel (I wasn't looking for that), but mostly people who like to get up early in the morning for a great trip and have could conversation at night. (with amazing views of the ocean and sunset). Would definitely stay here again.

The staff are all wonderful people. Very friendly, and willing to assist in all aspects of the trip. The lobby and common areas are beautiful with an ocean view and fun sitting area.
BUT.
The rooms. We stayed in the single bed room. There were 2 used bandaids resting on the windowsill and next to the bed. There was one hook to hang everything (which may seem like a petty complaint, but when the humidity factor compounds with wet clothes...no pura vida). Other wise, good for the inexpensive price.
