I'm not sure I can even describe how amazing the views are...from the moment we walked in the door I was blown away, the pictures don't do justice to how absolutely gorgeous everything is. I would give more than 5 stars if available. My husband and I traveled with 2 other couples to Casa De Frutas. When we arrived we were greeted by Dave and his staff, I've never felt so welcome and appreciated. The service was outstanding, Mauricio was amazing..he helped us prepare for our trip before we even left the states. We booked about a year in advance, he kept in contact with us and sent helpful info on Costa Rica & available activities. After we arrived he and Julien kept track of everything for us! The amenities are fabulous. We took advantage of the adult pool, massages by the pool and in our home, in home chef two of the nights we stayed (delicious!!!) the beach is also close a few min walk or take the complementary shuttle. I took advantage of the photography lesson, it was wonderful and Sarah was so nice and helpful! (thanks Sarah!) The girls on the trip also had a private yoga session (thanks Sylvia). Others did deep sea diving, fishing, zip-lining, tons of stuff to do. We visited a few shops, and tried many of the recommended restaurants.
The house is absolutely amazing! Truly 5 star, one of a kind, beautiful...it also has its own pool which we took advantage of the entire week. The beds are wonderful, tons of space, styled perfect, gorgeous flowers throughout, however, truly the most amazing thing of all is the view...I can't say enough...its breathtaking! Loved being able to watch all the wildlife, especially the monkeys..I miss them already :) I can't wait to return, and have nothing but great things to say!

First off, I am not one to normally post reviews, but I feel it is an absolute must after spending our honeymoon at Tulemar Gardens. It far exceeded our expectations. We stayed in the Casa Panorama North lower unit and it fit our needs perfectly. The unit was cleaned daily, spacious, and modern. The kitchen was an added bonus, allowing us to prepare meals if we did not feel like going out. Also, the balcony was fantastic--spent every morning out there eating breakfast and it was great for sunsets.

We ended up taking a shuttle (scheduled by Vanessa) from the airport for $180 each way. Not terribly expensive for a 2.5 hour trip and the driver took us to a supermarket which allowed us to stock up on groceries. You can also fly into Quepos from San Jose for approximately $63 per person each way (if your flight times correspond with the local airline schedule--ours did not).

Once at the resort, our concierge Bill greeted us and helped us get settled in. He was a pleasure to deal with. He gave us a tour of the property, pointed out wildlife, and during our stay drove us into town and to Manuel Antonio National Park. He was very responsive and helpful, but yet he respected our privacy. Thank you so much Bill!

The resort itself is nothing short of spectacular. It is perched high on the cliffs with amazing views of the ocean. The grounds are manicured on a daily basis and there is plenty of wildlife to observe. It did not have that "large" resort feel because the houses and bungalows are individual units, providing a feeling of seclusion. The beach is absolutely amazing and never felt crowded. We enjoyed the challenge of hiking to the beach every day--what a workout! They also provide a shuttle service to the beach, but we never used it. David was quick to set us up with towels, chairs, and an umbrella. The kayaks and snorkeling gear are also a huge plus.

There are several restaurants within walking distance of the resort. We ate at Barba Roja, Agua Azul, and Kapi Kapi. All three were great and moderately priced (Kapi Kapi is more high end). The resort does have food service at the family pool and it is sufficient if you are looking to grab a quick bite. We also had lunch at the beach early in our stay, but then it was closed due to its close proximity to the water (apparently some maritime infraction?). The good news is that they were still bringing food and drinks down to people from the pool facilities.

In conclusion, we had a wonderful time and will be back sometime in the near future. Also, we felt very safe during our entire stay. We saw plenty of security (especially at night).

We just got back from the best family vacation we have ever had! We spent 6 nights in Manuel Antonio , at Tulemar, Casa Panorama Villa, my husband, 11 year old son and myself!
The villa was wonderful, spacious for a 1 br, pullout sofa ,fantastic views, close to pool and walking distance to beautiful,private beach. Best boogie boarding ! We saw more monkeys,birds,iguana and sloth on the Tulemar property than we did in state park( which was beautiful)!
Kimberly , our concierge was fantastic! She made our trip! Every adventure,activity she set up for us was great! We really had the best of the best! We will definitely go back.

This is to amend the rant we posted a few days ago. Much of the problem we encountered in getting a refund of our rental fee was caused by a series of communications mishaps -- emails to the wrong address, emails that went into cyberspace and so forth. But once that got sorted out, both the owner of Garden House and the resort manager, Dave, acted swiftly and honorably to right the wrong, reaffirm their sincere apologies and send us a full refund. So, although our vacation was marred, our faith is restored.
