This evening myself and friends dined in the 'World Class' restaurant at La Mariposa in Manuel Antonio.
The menu seemed to have a good selection and the views from the property were breathtaking. The service was slow with the wrong wine being brought then a warm bottle of what we ordered being chilled at the table.
The food came quickly and the appetizers were nice, but the main dishes were underwhelming, I mentioned my dissatisfaction to the waiter, who tried to make a joke then disappeared, then came back to say he had spoken to the Captain who had offered desserts or a discount. We all decided that we just wanted to leave at that point, the waiter came back and spoke to my friend in Spanish, again mentioning 'the Captain'.
The manager was not visible, the food was some of the worst seafood I have ever had served at a restaurant. I would not recommend this hotel, there are much better places in Manuel Antonio.
