My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights and highly recommend it. The hotel is beautiful with views of the Pacific and wildlife abound. They have 2 pools, an adult pool and a family pool which makes it a great place for all. The "green" environmentally friendly focus is nice too.

Stayed here with another couple for several days. The view from just about everywhere is wonderful, as many other reviews point out. And the staff was very pleasant, the pool areas again with wonderful view BUT really disappointed with rooms. We had a deluxe room, which was roomy enough, lovely patio with two lounges and table and amazing view, but the room itself was very generic and Holiday Innish. Having stayed at several other much posher resorts for the same money or just a little more, was kind of disappointed. That being said, if you want to be in this area, not sure if there is any place more convenient re location.

What a gorgeous property, overviewing such a beautiful ocean but the rooms are old. Too bad, as this place looks so pretty on the outside. The two pools (adult and family) were fun as they have attached bar/restaurants with stools to sit in the pool like Las Vegas. The view is a 5 rating but unfortunately the superior room I had made me nervous to touch anything and I didn't want to take a shower. It appears to be so luxurious and that is why my rating is a two. If I thought I was checking into a standard type of room I would rate it higher but this place is misleading. Construction workers above us were noisy early in the morning with their chatting and laughing. I hope this place gets an update soon as it could be a perfect hotel. The new restaurant next door was nothing special and not very good for dinner. We had a loud thunder and lightening storm and they gave us metal umbrella's and mine was broken. I would expect a lot more for the regular $280/night superior room price.

Room Tip: Avoid the "Superior".

The hotel Si Como No is a beautiful hotel built into a hill side over looking the Pacific. The views and the landscape are incredible and the location is great, mid way between the beach and the town. At my age, it was hard to negotiate all the steps to get to breakfast but it shouldn't be a problem for most people. Our room was wonderful and the staff was outstanding. The free breakfast was delicious. We had white face monkeys walking on our roof, really amazing. The front desk can hook you up for any adventure tour imaginable and all ours side trips we excellent. My chief complaint of the hotel is that there is NO TV and internet wifi is available only in the lobby and one of the two restaurants. So if you want to check email, you have to walk to the lobby. They told me they were working on this.

We stayed at the Si Como No just before Thanksgiving. We had rooms 21 and 22. They were spacious, comfortable and very clean. We had an incredible view (as all the rooms) and woke to Howler Monkeys calling...the Breakfast was great, lots of coffee and a great omlette station. The entire staff was wonderful. With two young boys, a movie was a great way to spend an evening. We walked to a few different restaurants, and really enjoyed the night tour at the Butterfly sanctuary across the street. The pool was a huge hit with my boys and they made lots of friends. Not to mention the free access laptop in the open air lobby. We loved the way the hotel is perched on the cliff. Hope to come back sometime...

We traveled with another couple. As our budget was larger, we booked a Deluxe suite while they booked a standard room. Our suite turned out to have only an additional area with an extra couch--but no chair or table in the entire suite! There was no place to sit other than the bed! There was no coffee table near that extra couch. All the built-ins and the bathroom were terribly old.
Our friends in the standard room had a couple of chairs--one upholstered--and a desk. While their room was not as spcacious, it was by far more comfortable.
The bathroom in our Deluxe room was so small that you had to bend by the toilet to reach the room safe!

(P.S. We refused the room and called our Costa-Rica-based travel agent. She immediately got in touch with the hotel management and they gave us the honeymoon suite at no extra charge. I doubt that without that agent's personal relationship they would have moved us. I would have given this hotel only 1 star for the first Deluxe room.)

The views are spectacular. I believe that all rooms face the ocean. Since it is so high, there is no access to the beach.

Also note that the hotel is situated on the side of a mountain. Most rooms require tremendous amount of steps. It took 67 steps to climb up from the pool to our room. You have to be in shape for it--or secure a room with an easy access, which some have.

Room Tip: The hotel is situated on the side of a mountain. Most rooms require tremendous amount of steps. It t...
