We arrived in Costa Rica for our first time visit. Hotel Parador was our first stop. The grounds are beautiful. Service is nice at front desk. The breakfast is great, but don't expect great service, it's buffet, so the waitresses just stand there and talk to each other, you have to get up and ask for coffee, etc. we had Dinner there one night, big mistake! 1 hour before food was served, 30 min. for 1 drink from bar, and a coke. The shower in our room would not work, plumber came right away, it was fixed, but in the morning, no shower again. Finally, they changed our room. Next day, water line was broke, no water till 8:30 am. Had to leave at 8 am for meeting. Rooms are very average. I find it amazing, through all that, all we got was a sorry, for a lot of money on the credit card.
