I loved this restaurant for it's atmosphere and wood fired grill. The staff was above and beyond friendly. The ambiance is super relaxing and groovy. Love the unique artsy decor and the shady spot amongst the canopy. It felt almost as if I were in a tree house. The Guanabana frio on the menu is A MUST for anyone visiting Costa Rican and wanting to explore authentic cuisine. The food is extremely fresh and delicious tasting. However, the pizza was made a bit weird in my opinion. The dough was extremely thin, far too thin for pizza and much more accommodating for a flat bread. We ordered the vegetarian and all though all the ingredients could be found on the pie it wasn't mixed together. It was all sectioned per slice, so it was almost as though one slice was a mushroom pie, one slice was an onion pie, one slice a tomato pie, so on and so forth. Also, we had drinks and appetizers and decided to leave to our hotel for a short bit because the wood fire oven doesn't fire up until 5pm...not mentioned anywhere on the numerous signs from the road. Delicious, but very disappointing for our hungry appetites. The menu caters completely to the Gringo crowd and yet falls short with not much choice, just pizza, wraps, burgers and a few appetizers. Our onion rings were overcooked in an old oil. Overall, I'd mark it as a for sure visit to see the tiled floor and taste the Guanabana, but don't come when you are really hungry!
