The usual caveats about not eating Italian food outside the USA definitely don't apply here--freshest of fresh ingredients, whole-milk cheeses, truly al dente pasta, fabulous garlic knots (lighter and airier than those at your local pizzeria, and way less oily), imaginative dishes, great service, gorgeous presentation. What more can I say? Plus, the owner is a gregarious and welcoming presence who will put you at ease right away. Positively a go-to when you're in Costa Rica.
