“No one likes airplane food”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2012

El Avion is right on the main drag into Manuel Antonio. The building will capture your attention, and you will be intrigued to stop in. That is worth the look, just don't eat a meal here.
It's overpriced and the quality is mediocre considering the abundance of fresh products in the area.
Have a drink in the fuselage bar, step on the patio to take in the awesome view, snap a few pictures and move on down the road for greater sights and tastes.

“Overall is a very good place, one of the best in Manuel Antonio”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2012

It is a great place with an amazing view. You will feel the ocean breeze while you're enjoying your food. Normally I order the "El Avion Tuna" or any other fish from the menu since almost all the options are good size and well prepared.
The Frappe Lemonade and the Cheesecake are also good options to consider.
The service could be better but is ok.

“Decent meal, interesting location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2012 via mobile

We were drawn to the unusual 'facility' - definitely something we hadn't seen before!

Food was pretty good - nothing 'special' but a decend meal for a decent price.

Avoid the tiramisu - I assume it was something frozen...it was awful!

5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 3, 2012 via mobile

An american food restaurant, the "El avion" hamburger is the best!.

The view is excelent, just be aware of the sun as it can be anoying if your table is located under the straigh sun light.

“Super cool view and atmosphere, Bad food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2012

We really enjoyed the view (and the cool airplane) at El Avion, but were much less impressed by the food. Would recommend going during the day time, so that you can enjoy the gorgeous view of the ocean. Beware of the seafood - was frozen, not fresh.
