We loved this trip! We were lucky no one else booked for the day, and we got to have a "private" trip. Our guide was awesome. He knew a lot about the area, and talked to us like we had known him our whole lives.
The staff was all really friendly and knowledgeable. I felt safe never having rafted before, because I knew our guide was experienced. The trip was amazing, I loved floating down the river looking at the scenery (saw a toucan. I was pretty excited) the rapids on the savegre were low at the time. There was definitely enough to keep us entertained, but not enough to be scary. The guide made sure we were having a good time. I would take kids on this trip, and our parents. We stopped at a waterfall and took some pictures and had a snack, then continued down the river. The van picked us up at the end, and we had dinner, which was one of the best we had in Costa Rica.
Expect to get very wet, and definitely bring a change of clothes to dry off. You can purchase the photographers pictures of your trip. I think it was around $30, but don't remember for sure. Regardless, it was totally worth it. I wouldn't even question buying it, just do it! You won't be able to take your own camera.
I highly recommend this trip, and if we come back, we will do it again!
