and owner . The owner in particular went the extra mile to help my girlfriend when she was unwell. It is this superior customer service that other businesses can learn so much from. Thank you again . Will return.

Plaza Yara was a wonderful addition to my trip in Costa Rica. They were so nice and helpful. They gave recommendations on restaurant to visit, called us cabs, suggestions to certain tours and places to go to at night. They even called us when the cab/tour was waiting for us downstairs. The room was very big, clean and spacious especially for the amount. The room we had had a patio connected to the pool which was really nice. It seem like we were the only guest because it was so quiet but we weren't. Their breakfast selection was nice. If i were to travel to Costa Rica again i would most definitely stay there again!

My friends and I stayed here for 3 nights and had a wonderful time! We were immediately greeted by friendly staff who were willing to answer any and all of our questions. We had to wait a bit for our room to be ready but it was worth the wait! During the wait for our room, Javier made calls for us to book our whitewater rafting tour and gave us a tour of the hotel. Jonathan was also great and helped us with tours and directions. Both were very friendly and helpful!
The rooms were beautiful, clean and spacious and we were lucky enough to get Room #12, the only room that has a balcony leading right out to the pool. The room had a beautiful modern bathroom and a small kitchenette with a small refrigerator, coffee maker and microwave.
The only issues we had with the room was that the modern shower did not have a door on it and water would leak from the shower out into the room. A problem that was easily remedied with a few extra towels.
Breakfast served here was great and the portions were large! Getting to the beach was easy, the bus stop was a short walk up a hill and the bus ran every 20 minutes or so. There is only one road in Manuel Antonio so it we were able to figure out the bus route pretty quickly!!
Thanks to Javier and Jonathan for a great stay in Manuel Antonio and I would definitely recommend Plaza Yara to anyone making their way to Manuel Antonio!!

The rooms were beautiful and very peaceful. So much more than what we expected. The staff were very friendly, and the breakfast was delicious. We only stayed for one night before traveling on to new locations throughout CR, glad we stayed. I would highly recommend this location.

The overall look of the room was nice however the logistics of it were lacking. The furniture was unusable. I literally could not sit in it in a comfortable way. I am 5'4''. There is no insulation between rooms so I heard the other rooms alarm clock and conversation. Speaking of alarm clocks ours went off at 1:42 a.m. The door that leads down the hallway slams shut so after I finally feel asleep I was awakened every time someone went through that door. I stopped counting at six. The staff was nice and helpful but the owners and or builders spent too much time on "pretty" and apparently no time or money on making sure their guests get a good nights sleep. Go down the road a little and stay oceanfront for the same price.

Room Tip: I can't speak to all the rooms as we stayed in only one. I can say don't stay in room 12 or...

Dear Alexander,

We are truly sorry that your stay at Hotel Plaza Yara was not what you were expecting. The furniture in all of our suites is certainly comfortable and we do not consider the rooms to be decorated in a ´´pretty´´ style. There are many photos posted by other guests which will give a great description of the style. We are also confused by your review of suite 12. Suite 12 has no hallway doors and is not bordered by any other suites. Suite 12 has a private balcony área and opens to the pool deck, breakfast is not served in this área.

It is also important that we mention that there is only one beachfront hotel in Manuel Antonio it is a truly spectacular resort at a cost of four times the price of Hotel Plaza Yara (and well worth it if your budget allows).

Again, we apologize for not exceeding your expectations as we do with the majority of our guests.

Regards,
Nelson Monge

After all the rave reviews and the fact that Plaza Yara has won awards 2 years in a row, I expected more. The room was large and comfortable, with internet, small tv, and terrace over looking pool. However, the pool is miniscule. The breakfast is served on a pleasant patio, but is the same everday, and there were no monkeys despite all the reviews mentioning them. The air conditioning and tv stopped working one day. The room was consistently kept fresh and clean otherwise. The hotel is between two towns, so for convenience items I had to bus or taxi to either Quepos or Manuel Antonio. The hotel itself does not have a restaurant throughout the day and only supplies water and some soft drinks. Nearby restaurants are available, though somewhat pricey. Nice art in the gallery if you can manage to carry it home! Kind of boring if you have a child with you and aren't driving.

Had an amazing stay at plaza yara! Jonathan was there to help us and meet us almost each afternoon. He really cares to make sure you have a wonderful stay (the other staff too, but Jonathan was our guy this week!) our room was wonderful! Breakfast was amazing! The staff is great with helping you arrange your tours. They know all the best and safest companies. Jonathan and Javier set us up on some great tours and also helped us find directions to explore on our own. Did I mention the monkeys? This place was amazing!
