My husband and I were delighted to stay in the Honeymoon Suite for 6 nights. It was so calming to hear the ocean at night and see it from the romantic canopied king bed in the morning.
Breakfast in the Rancho was great with a variety of everyday options and one daily special so you don't get bored. The pool was cleaned everyday and the grounds were meticulously tended. The owners were very friendly and arranged a massage and a fishing trip that was the highlight of my vacation, and it was my first time fishing!
I saw many kinds of animals on the property: howler and capuchin monkeys, bats, iguanas, anteater, and lots of geckos. The beach is beautiful. The pool is a great place to cool off. I loved napping in the hammocks.
The Honeymoon suite has a more rustic feel with the handmade wood cabinets. The bed was comfy and the water pressure in the shower was fantastic. Geckos do gather near the porch lights at night and one or two did get into the suite. If you are scared of small lizards, maybe Costa Rica isn't for you. I got to see one of the family villas and it was thoroughly modern and beautiful, clearly brand new.
I can't wait to go back. Pura Vida!
