“Hours of enjoyment”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2013 via mobile

We made reservations for 5 p.m as to not miss the sunset. We didnt leave until close to 9 p.m. We were entertained for hours by marvelous cocktails and fab views. We had 5 tapas later in the evening which we shared. My favorites-octopus and tuna stack. Don't miss out, you'll love it.

“On Top of the World in Comfort & Luxury”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2012

Papaya Lounge is one of my favorites and well worth the many steps you have to climb to get there. Once up top you are overwehlmed with the amazing view of the ocean and the top notch decor.

You leave all the dust behind and enter a world of Luxury , good food and people.

Michael makes a killer mohito and the owners Aden and Vicky are so nice and accommodating.

The food absolutely delicious - my favorite is the fried calamari so tender I order it every time with a super salad. Aden insists next time I try something else.

So if you are in the area Papaya Lound is a must do, must eat and must relax place to go.....

“Delicious food and drink. Wonderful views.”

A wonderful spot with great food and delicious drinks by the two Mikes. They don't serve lunch but have great breakfast and dinners.

“Best views over the coast and fine dining”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2012 via mobile

We did not stay in he hotel, but we went for the sunset drinks and a dinner. Set on top of the hill, heavy climbing of lots if stairs, but once you are on the deck of the lounge / restaurant, you feel like being in the most beautiful place in the world. A beautiful open air lounge with comfortable sofa, a tastefully decorated bar and a nice setting of dining tables welcomes you.
The place is ain't end in wam red colours and decorated with very nice local art. The Irish owner operates as the bartender and shakes the best cocktails of Mal Pais.
We came back for dinner and received great service and surprisingly good food, such as grilled lobster.
The hotel offers beautiful bungalows, nicely and luxuriously decorated with lots of privacy.
Although we did not stay here, but in the nearby Beija Flor (which was very disappointing), next time we will. Highly recommended place!

“See the sunset and die...”

Just the best place to see the magical sunset over the Pacific ocean. Serves great cocktails, and very good tapas. A bit pricy.
