My wife and I traveled to Costa Rica few weeks ago and wow we loved it. We rented a condo on VRBO from a private owner and she was amazing, helped us with everything from transportation to surfing and everything in between. We stayed in a top floor condo and watched every sunset while were there - really amazing view. I would suggest to anyone to rent a top floor condo!!! We planned to just relax by the pool but we ended up hiking and zip lining and we took an amazing ATV tour up the moutain. We didn't rent a car, just walked everywhere or grabbed a taxi for next to nothing - that saved us a lot of money! Everything we wanted or needed was so close.
The condo was perfect, the pool was beautiful, the area was quite, the staff was friendly and the owner was great. We loved our trip and we loved our "home" while we were there.

My husband and I just got back from Jaco we have never been and really enjoyed our stay. We planned a ton of things to do and didn't really plan where to stay - we just picked the first place that looked good that responded to our email. I am so happy we were able to stay at Bahia Azul! This was the best part of our amazing trip! After long days of many adventures we felt like this was home - it has a welcoming quality, so many happy and friendly faces and it was so comfortable. We have never slept to good in our lives! In fact, on the last day of our trip we asked if any condos were available for sale! We are thinking of going back in a few months and maybe putting an offer on our possible retirement home. Needless to say, we will be back again!

This was a great place for us to stay for 5 days. It's not super close to food or Bars, but it's just a short drive into town. Ive read a few negitive reviews of the place, and I think its important to realize your expectations. I probably wouldn't stay here if you are looking for a place to wait on your every need. It's more of an apartment than a hotel. I prefer this type of environment to a hotel, and would rather cook a few meals a day than to eat out. .... So it worked out well for us.

This propety is so beautiful. It's on the south end of the beach, it feels tucked away, it's quieter but still a short walk into town and all it has to offer. We stayed on a top floor condo that had loungers and table and chairs on the rooftop - the sunsets were perfect - we had dinner and cocktails there most evenings. The pool was crystal clear, the grounds were well maintained and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Bahia Azul is located on the prettiest street in Jaco...This place is great - we are going to stay again next year but I think we will contact a private owner to stay rather than the management company. We heard you can get better prices!
