“Wedding at Los Suenos?- This is the place to put up your family!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 12, 2011

Casa Ponte has it all if you want a villa for a large extended family! My son was getting married at Los Suenos Marriot and we wanted to bring our family from all over the US ( ages 3 to 82) to stay at one place- We packed 18 of us into the 8 bedrooms with ease and thoroughly enjoyed this truly luxurious private resort just five minutes from the Los Suenos hotel and two minutes from the Jaco beach. The villa's manager , Capt. Josh Foster made it all happen for us- airport transports, Manuel Antonio excursions, Sportfishing, zip line and ATV tours all at a discount- even if you don't end up at Casa Ponte contact Josh at www.hookedoncostarice.com .

Casa Ponte was seriously fabulous!!! My husband and I had never been to Costa Rica, and we traveled there with 7 other couples. Here are a few things that you need to know if you're traveling to Casa Ponte:

1. You will have two housekeepers that come around 7AM and leave at 4PM. You do not have to do your own dishes!
2. You will have full-time "ATTENTIVE" security.
3. There is a "handyman/poolboy" at Casa Ponte all day every day.
4. Captain Josh Foster is the BEST concierge (excursion planner/weatherman/fisherman) you could ever ask for!
5. A private chef is inexpensive and SOOO worth it. I recommend the "traditional Costa Rican dinner" at some point during your stay. Superb, and I am a FOOD SNOB!
6. Listen to Josh, and buy your liquor at the airport. It is HIGH dollar in Jaco.
7. The local products of Costa Rica are outstanding. The vegetables and fruits are amazingly fresh and yummy. The coffee (even the cheap kind) is wonderful. The packaged items (chips, cheese, lunch meat, bread) are all similar if not better than the US (if that's your location of origin). Buy local, you'll safe a ton of money!
8. You have internet at Casa Ponte!
9. You have a phone that is free for calls to and from the US!
10. Unfortunately, there is one bedroom out of the 8 that is difficult to get to and not so nice, but the others are AMAZING with spectacular views. Also, only plan to have kids and young people stay in the loft if you are using it. You must be able to climb very small spiral stairs to get there (not good post-cocktails).
11. Take your own shampoo and soap (there will be laundry detergent, hand soap, cleaning products and dishwashing soap at the house)
12. Take a beach towel. There are plenty of towels for use at the house, but I recommend taking your own to the beach (as the house towels are not beach-towel size).
13. Jaco is a surfer's paradise. Don't expect to lay out on the sand (as it is rocky and dirty). It's quite pretty and unique, but it's not a white sand, clear water kind of beach. I recommend laying out at one of the two pools at the house instead.
14. You CAN see the ocean from Casa Ponte!
15. There are two pools and two hot tubs, several outdoor lounging/ hang out spaces, 2 pool tables and 2 kitchens!
16. Book ALL excursions and transportation through Josh. He makes everything easy, first class and reasonable (price-wise). Must see/do: Manuel Antonio, Vista Los Suenos Zip Lining, shopping in Jaco!
17. Rainy season does NOT mean rain ALL THE TIME. It means rain in the late afternoon and pleasantly warm weather.
18. Plan to have some time at the house. We left wishing we had been there more.
19. You will fall in LOVE with the people of Costa Rica and Casa Ponte!

!Pura Vida!

If you think this place looks awesome in the pictures, you should try staying in it! We rented this esate home in March and it was the most incredible vacation we ever had.

Our group of 15 friends were treated like royaly from day 1 and Capt. Josh Foster, the estates property manager and concierge', arranged everything for us from our tours, private chef, transportation, massages, dinner reervations and really went out of his way to make our trip so wonderful!

The housekeepers, Maria and Johanna were fabulous and keep the estate impecablly clean even after our late night party fests and messy kitchen adventures. If you ever have the opportunity to stay in Casa Ponte, I can't recommend it highly enough. The place is enormous, and the amenities endless.!

Just got back from Jaco, Costa Rica about a few months ago, the purpose for the trip was a bachelor party. A group of about 8 of us mostly from Oregon decided to try and do it up for our good friend the bachelor. We ended up finding a "little" piece of heaven on earth called, Casa Ponte in Jaco. When I mean "little" I'm talking about almost 11,000 sgft of the most beautiful architechture I've seen in my life sitting on like 3 acres.
This might not be affordable to everyone, but to those that can, you MUST check this place out. Affordable meaning a little over $100US a night per person. Prices are negotiable so dont be scared to ask :)
The place comes with everything you need to fill in those sometimes not so planned segments of your time, even if you dont leave the house I promise you, you will leave saying i want to come back.
The city of Jaco was small yet fun, I wish i could tell you about the daytime there but I'd be lying, we mostly went outside of Jaco for daytime events like canopy tours and raftin. But at night the city becomes alive with activities. We spent most nights out on the town, people were extremely friendly and willing. We ran into almost every race and creed which surprised us, but it also felt good.
Too bad the trip is over, but there is always a next time...
We were lucky to have hooked up with this guy, our property manager, his name is Capt. Josh Foster. This guy can pull a rabbit out of a hat, with no hands or a hat. A Totally straight up guy that doesnt beat around the bush. I highly recommend comparing anything you want with him, from rates on homes and rooms to yachts and events.
I can't stop thinking about the trip...I'm HOOKED!!!
