We stayed in one of the Del Mar Residences a few days after Christmas.
The condo was great, however the shuttle service was inconsistent.
They have a schedule posted in each condo, however the shuttle does not always show up according to schedule. When we spoke to the front desk of the Marriott they told us that "they were not responsible for the service and that they couldn't do anything about it."
When asked who I should contact about this, they replied they didn't know.
We also called the CR Luxury Management office and never got a response.
Poor customer service from both CR Luxury Management AND Marriott.
Although the shuttle service was not a HUGE deal breaker (we could deal with the long walk to the Casino) the fact that the management company tried to double charge us for the stay was the straw that broke the camels back.
About a month after we returned home from vacation we received several emails regarding "non-payment" for our hotel stay. Once we checked our credit card records, we saw that the charge went through without a problem. We contacted the people at CR Luxury Rentals and they said the fixed the problem.
A few weeks later we saw another charge for $100 from Los Suenos. When contacted about this charge they said, "Ah yes, I remember, you didn't return your beach pass."
My question to them was how they could "remember" what they charged us for within 5 seconds when our stay was over 2 months ago.
When we checked out, we made sure to read all the directions that were left in the condo regarding checkout. We returned all materials and keys back to the security guard as directed. I wish I would have taken a photo of all the materials in the packet, as then I would have proof that we returned everything. After giving up the argument about the $100, a few weeks later I received another email regarding non-payment of the hotel stay.
Basically, this place is a scam and they keep trying to double charge us for our stay, even though they have already collected payment.
IF you stay here, make sure to check your credit card statements and make sure to document your checkout, or you will be stuck with unnecessary charges.
