Bob and Jill were great hosts, the food was great as well. We were fortunate to be in town for the Costa Rican New Year. Our trip to down town for the celebration is one of my most lasting memories of our trip to Costa Rica. We will definately make another trip, and look forward to visiting during one Bob's future concerts..

We had a wonderful vacation at Amatierra July 2006. Jill & Bob, the owners, are great and help any way they can. They scheduled drivers for us and set up our stay by Manuel Antonio park as well. Their grounds are beatiful, we saw many birds and butterflys from the deck during breakfast. The staff are nice, the group evenings wonderful for visiting and sharing about your day. We will return.

Lovely setting, high in the mountains. The area was beautiful abundant birds, flora, and close to incredible parks and beach.
Our stay at the hotel was peaceful and private, with a perfect blend of local interaction. We visited the local villages and parks. Then returned for a lovely evening meal on a gorgeous outdoor deck overlooking the mountain vistas. We would return in a minute, thanks to our hosts Bob and Jill.

Bob, Jill, and Tara were wonderful hosts. This was one of our favorite hotels because of the personal touches. We ate dinner with the family and had some of the best home cooked meals we've ever tasted. Our own little casita down the hill gaves us plenty of privacy with wonderful surroundings. Bob and Jill really cared about who we were and how they could enlighten our visit to Costa Rica. They were so wonderful it was almost sad leaving and after only two nights we felt like part of the family. We would certainly without hesitation recommend this to all our friends and we have.

Ama Tierra was fabulous, and we hope to return there someday.

My wife and I went for our honeymoon, and Bob and Jill and their staff are terrific, from end to end. We were in Costa Rica for 10 days, and having our visit to Ama Tierra was a perfect middle segment -- as our Spanish skills still need some work, it was great to have Bob and Jill to speak in full detail about our trip and plans. Plus, they are just pleasant people.

THE FOOD THERE WAS AMAZING. Jill is very health/ organic conscious, and the food was fresher there than most food we've eaten here in the states (we're NY restaurant people).

The friendly service was top-notch, and Turu Bari National Park (canopy tours were awesome) is an up and coming Nat'l Park.

All in all, thumbs way up for Ama Tierra!
