I was with a group of 13 people so got to see several rooms. All of them need to be updated - the sheets look threadbare, the towels are thin, etc. Just looks like its not very well cared for. The best part of the hotel are the grounds - especially if you are a birdwatcher or photographer like most of the people in our group. The people in the group liked it for the grounds, not the rooms. We got the evening meal both nights, and while the food was good, I think it was overpriced for what we got. One frustrating thing was that the office was usually not open, so if you needed something you had to walk all over to try to find someone who could help you. There is a husband and wife that own and operate the place. He was very friendly and quite helpful, she seemed grumpy all the time and seemed like she was annoyed that we were there.
