Cabinas La Casona is an excellent place to stay in the village of Tortuguero. Rooms are basic but very clean, the showers provide nice hot water (not always possible in parts of Costa Rica) and the beds are comfortable. The location is great: it actually sits on the soccer field sideline!! and it's just a few yards from the beach or from the main street in town. David and Raquel were fantastic hosts and the restaurant had excellent food (the coconut chicken and the fruit brochettes with chocolate sauce are to die for!). They're very friendly and run some of their own tours. The canoe tour through some of the canals that David gave us was excellent and we even had a break for hot tea and cookies!!! How many times have you had tea in a canoe?

Good location (1 minute from the main dock, 3 minutes from the Park entrance, 30 seconds from the beach). Rooms are clean, quiet, nice and charming. Food tasty and plenty.

This hotel is the best place to stay in Tortuguguero. The price is good and the service is great! Highly recommended. Just off the beach, hammocks and plenty of tours to chose from.

The hotel is very well located, 1 minute from the beach. The staff is nice and the restaurant is OK. The rooms are simple and there is a mosquito net. I recommend this place in Tortuguero.
