“Do not book this hostel online”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2013

I am leaving a review for the accommodation rather than the restaurant.
We booked for NYE but when we arrived we were told that they had no knowledge of our two bookings via hostelworld and hostelbookers. The rather rude new manager made us feel like it was our fault, rather than theirs for not using either of these websites but failing to take their hostel down.
It looks nothing like the photos, it is actually cramped and small. It is far from the town centre but not peaceful as it right nextdoor to Rockin J's.
We ended up leaving and staying at the Lotus Garden across the road for half the price and a lot better quality.
The one positive is that the food is exquisite. Go there for dinner but do not stay.

“Yes, todo es possible!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2012

I would never have thought I would eat the best pasta in the world in the middle of the jungle in Costa Rica, but that was exactly what happend at this place. We had the bruscettas as starters, I ordered seafood pasta and my girlfriend had raviolis with seafood and coconutmilk. OMG! Foodorgasm! This guy is a culinary god. Enjoy the food AND the nice, funky music. And don't be thrown by the hippie look of the place. This is a chef who is sharp about his food and cooks with love.

“The best and still undiscovered.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2012

I believe there's a truism about relying on Trip Advisor for travel recommendations. Hotels that top their city list generally continue to deserve that rating; while restaurants sometimes slide in value and service after being discovered. With that in mind, get to Todos soon while it is young, hungry and oh so high in quality. Todos was founded by two Italian expat brothers who make their own pasta, producing a taste fest that is unrivaled (in our experience) in Puerto Viejos, yet is modestly priced. They are the underdog, and it shows. try their seafood linguini; it's incredible. In our experience with Puerto Viejo restaurants, there is good and then there is Todo.
