After staying in another hostel, we decided to move to Jacaranda. The cabins lie in a beautiful garden where all day long you can see little birds flying around. The room has a lot of windows which let in a lot of light but perfectly close at night. The beds are perfect and the room is just the right size. The bathroom is spacious and hot water worked perfect. You've got your own little front patio to sit on with chairs, a table and a hammock. Because the cabanas are right in a jungle garden, you're always in the shade which makes for some nice temperatures. The hotel is right out the centre, so very peaceful but also only a three minute walk to the main street. The owners were lovely, making sure our 4 day stay went smoothly ... had a great time in PV and Jacaranda was a helpful part of it!

I stayed here for 4 nights and truly loved the place. It has a beautiful, jungle like garden in the courtyard and the room was very clean and comfortable. The staff took great care of me and were a pleasure to talk with. I would definitely stay here again, as it was an incredible deal and a wonderful setting.

What a magical paradise. This small and intimate hotel is amazing. The ladies (Veera and Noemy) who greet you and take care of all your needs are the best part of the hotel. They are so nice, helpful and instantly make you feel welcome. The beautiful gardens make you feel like you're in another world. I would sit in the gardens every morning checking in with work and family on the computer. The rooms are darling and give you privacy with your own bathroom and hot water. The location is perfect because just a few blocks from the ocean and the town. I turned into a cat person being at Jacaranda because Kitty Kat is the coolest most chill cat you'll ever meet. I hung out everyday with the cat, the wonderful ladies and the beautiful setting. Thank you for having us, we will be back! It's a must.

We enjoyed our stay at Cabinas Jacaranda. Vera, the owner, and Noemi are very friendly and helpful and made us feel like home.
The jungle garden with the mosaic pathways is just beauityful. The rooms are simple, but clean, cozy and with nice paintings at the walls.
We stayed there 2 weeks long and loved it that much, that we came back a second time at the end of our holiday.
pura vida,
Oli and Katrin

My adult son and I thoroughly enjoyed our month long stay at Jacaranda this past August. Walking through the front gate, transports you into a most serene and beautiful jungle environment. Mosaic paths lead you through a wonderland of tropical beauty, where individual rooms are strategically placed to allow for bit more privacy. The owner and her staff keep the place impeccably clean and attractive. Unfortunately my son had some serious health issues during our stay in Puerto Viejo and the extra care and assistance given by the owner and staff, was incredible but so appreciated. Lovely people, with huge hearts who embraced us like family. Having laundry and wi-fi on site, and a communal kitchen, there wasn't much more to want. Loved the location -- two blocks to town and four to the beach! Bread & Chocolate is not to be missed -- loved their French Pressed coffee and great deserts. Definitely, don't miss Cafe Rico! They have the most amazing omelets in a great jungle setting and is only 3 blocks away from Jacaranda. If you are looking for a safe, secure place to stay, close to town, with wi-fi, laundry and kitchen facilities, at a reasonable price, Jacaranda fits the bill -- the jungle beauty is the frosting that makes it outstanding!

This beautiful garden oasis was amazing place to stay at in Peurto Viejo. Each spacious room has it's own unique garden theme and a great shower!!!! The rooms are spotless and the cleaning staff are great! Also being located in town any where you want to go is a safe lighted walk.

The whole staff is amazing and Vera the owner will honestly make your stay there so great and entertaining.

Best place in town!
