I love weird and wonderful plants. Finca La Isla has plants that very few botanical gardens in Costa Rica have. I guarantee you won't have heard of most of their fruit trees. Their giant fern has fronds that can reach eight yards long; they have a spectacular bamboo palm, and many others too numerous to name. They have many bromeliads. It's also the best place in the country to see the beautiful poison dart frogs.
It's cool and shady under the trees - a nice place if it's too hot elsewhere.
They are open all weekend, and close two days during the week.
