“Accessible National Park”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2013

Cahuita National Park is a small piece of parkland right at the end of Cahuita village. It is a nice easy walk (though you do have to cross a fairly shallow (when we were there) river at one point. The trail is wide and easy. You won't see as much wildlife as you might in other parts, but it is worth a look if you are in the vicinity.

“Wildlife pure”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2013

Wonderful to pass the whole day in the park, observe wildlife and swim in the warm ocean. You can also snorkel, but must book it separately in town.

“walk with a ranger”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2013

a great NP where the entrance fee is a donation as it is run by the local community who appreciate tourism. The first time I walked in it I saw no wildlife, the next day a ranger walked with and spotted 5 sloths, 3 snakes, a hummingbird nest, monkeys etc etc within a couple of hundred metres. So dont pay the high prices people ask to guide you just walk (and tip) the rangers

“Great place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

Very nice park! We saw sloths, monkeys, lizards, and at the end a yellow viper. The beach is also great and worth the trip to.
