Gerardo Manuel was a great bartender and gave plenty of info about Costa Rica, he even practiced Spanish with me! Sergio and Esteban were also extremely nice as well as the rest of the staff. Great place to stay! Rooms were clean, simple, and affordable. Best part was the bar/restaurant/pool!

Place is cute with a nice size pool and hot tub. Rooms are pretty basic with cheesy Costa Rica masks painted in the wall. It looks like their might be some museums and a craft market closeby. The place reminds me a but of a hostel with people young and wearing pajamas to dinner. It was so so but who knows what else is around that might be better.

Thank you for the review. Sometimes I think some Senior Reviewers just write for the sake of receiving another inconsequential credit without putting a lot of thought into what they are saying, or care who they are hurting. This guest obviously didn't spend much time with us to get a true overall experience and if she had booked direct with us rather than through Expedia, she would have received a 10% cash discount. Regarding the 'cheesy Costa Rica masks painted in the wall', we have decorated the entire hotel with over fifty statues made by the Mayan Indians, lots of jungle, animals and indigenous-style wall murals, beautiful Costa Rican plants and several typical, three dimensional Costa Rica countryside framed paintings, all to get travelers in the mood to discover more of what Costa Rica is about and has to offer. The vast majority of guests compliment us on the exciting and interesting way the hotel is decorated. To zero in on one specific wall mural that the guest may not like (admittedly the ancient Mayans were sometimes quite crude!), is rather myopic considering no mention of the rest of the hotel, the pool, free airport transfers, free international phone calls and great attentive staff. Occasionally, especially in the off-season when school is out, we have chaperoned student groups stay with us on their way into and out of Costa Rica. I would like to apologize to the writer if she prefers a hotel with only older people and was upset that some of the students decided to wear their pajamas to breakfast in the restaurant, though I could think of far worse things they could be doing.

The pool was chilly, but the hot tub was toasty. :) Quick friendly service in the restaurant. The front desk staff were polite, friendly, and very helpful! We had a "to go" breakfast waiting for us at the front desk due to our early departure and they arranged for a cab to take us to the airport. Lovely hotel!

We traveled to Uvita, Costa Rica, both this summer and last. Due to the timing of our flights and the distance to Uvita, we stayed at Adventure Inn both on our way in and our way out this year and last. My parents travel there frequently, so they made all our arrangements last year. This year, we tried to do it all on our own. We were a bit over our heads. One of our friends wasn't able to get on his flight, our rental cars were an astronomical amount more than we had been quoted, one of our flights got in at 5am, and half my family came one day and the other the next. It could have been a terrible and stressful situation. Adventure Inn was PHENOMENAL in helping us navigate it all. They allowed us to check in early. When the rental car situation blew up, the made phone calls to ensure another means of transportation. They walked us through everything with calm professionalism. It was so amazing. (Rosy! Tell your boss you deserve a raise!) And that was just the customer service portion. They have a shuttle to and from the airport. A $12 cab ride if you don't want the shuttle. Great breakfast. Good rooms. My kids loved the pool. Everything you would need.

The grounds were beautiful far enough away from the city yet close enough to the bus stop for a 15 ride down town. Cute pond out front with lots of little ducks. Quiet area, shopping by walk to small stores(5 minutes). Staff was super nice, friendly, and incredibly helpful, showed us how to safely get to an from san jose by bus. Rooms were nice and clean. Good breakfast, one morning staff even packed us breakfast to go because we were leaving so early. Tv and hair dryer in the room, wifi worked great in the room. Small cute pool.

Room Tip: All rooms looked good, its a small hotel, maybe ask for room in the back

This is close to the airport and easy to find. When you arrive you are greeted with a family style hotel that is hard to ignore. The front desk is friendly and inviting. The staff bi-lingual and smiling.
The rooms are spacious and clean and modern with all the things you would expect in a 4 star hotel for a 2 star price.
The manager is the most accessible guy ever ( really ). Want anything .....ASK. He negotiated the price for the rental car. Who does that?
The restaurant has great food and staff. Introduce yourself to Manuel and you will be a friend for life(we are).
It is safe, central, and convenient. Don't pass this place up, you will regret it!

Room Tip: Get one with a jaccuzzzi
