We stayed at Casa Holanda halfway through a two week trip through Costa Rica. We booked last minute, and were lucky to find rooms for two tired couples. James and Roy were pleasant and professional. They have obviously put a lot of thought and effort into their B&B. The rooms were clean and comfortable; yes we had a hot shower (which is not common everywhere in Costa Rica from our experience), and the food and service was top notch. James is an excellent pianist and you may hear him playing in the dining room. The outdoor dining area is just lovely and very private (although you may be dining with other guests-- we were very happy with our fellow traveler-- I suppose not everyone is as lucky but we had an awesome time!). We wished we had stayed there on our last night before going to the airport instead of downtown San Jose. Next time!
