Outstanding in every way. Great hospitality, very trustworthy and done with a relaxed local flavor. The entire facility is immaculate, comfortable and the proprietors are friendly, interesting people who are more than happy to provide information that adds to your stay. My mornings were quite and afforded me some time to visit with other occupants who were also very impressed with this well conceived bed and breakfast. The food was healthy, local and refreshing. All of this in a great central location, easy to get to the city, airport and local stores. Thank you James and Roy for your wonderful hospitalty. I wouldn't hesitate in making the same selection on my next visit.

This was our second overnight stay with James and Roy - because of flight connections from Toronto to our final destination in the Osa Peninsula, we always need one night in San Jose. We love Casa Holanda as our stopping point. The rooms are beautiful, it's a short (25 min.?) cab ride from the airport, their meals are delicious and served in a small and very private garden. One year I'd love to make the tour from the Casa to the coffee plantation.

Based on reviews we decided to use Casa Holanda both at the start of our trip and at the finish. The stay was everything we had hoped. Great food, friendly advice, quiet, clean, relaxing, and best of all great food. We were introduced to some very good Costa Rican dishes that were tasty and healthy. We took their coffee tour and the Poas volcano/La Paz waterfall tour and we were treated to a wealth of knowledge of the plants, animals, culture and history of the country, could not have been better. We so enjoyed meeting Roy's family on the coffee tour, best way to meet real Costa Rican farmers and witness their way of life. James and Roy excelled as hosts and we felt very comfortable staying with them. We recommend the honeymoon suite, great views. This is what a B&B should be like, it does not get any better.

I have travelled for the last 6 weeks and staying at Casa Holanda is the best B&B I've stayed in. It doesn't get any better than this, they tick all the boxes. The Rooms are well decorated, very clean and comfortable. Great meals and snacks are prepared fresh on premises including juice and coffee. Food was both tasty and healthy.
I recommend the private tours, you can create yourself a package right here with room, meals and personal tours. I did the volcano, waterfall and Cartago tours it was a great way to enjoy country and wildlife. I plan to return.
