First took this tour 13 years ago, when tourists were far fewer in number, and the tour group size was much more manageable. This time, they tried to maneuver around what was probably near 125 people, so at several stops found myself at the rear of the pack, not able to really see or enjoy the particular presentation. The tour itself has the same agenda as before, but the professional "cupper" (coffee taster) from my first tour has been replaced by one of the three employees who staff the tour. Also, instead of conducting the tasting in a pleasant outdoor area, it is now held inside the rather dark theater, just before the "show". Although the tour overall is interesting, I feel the $19 now charged is abit too pricey for what you get. Surely, this tour cannot be anything but a real moneymaker for Cafe Britt.
I also paid the extra $10 for the lunch, and was similarly disappointed. I guess, due to time constraints, tour groups are shuffled into seating ahead of others, and run first through the limited buffet line, which contains some salad ingredients, rice, several cooked vegetables, and one main entry, a rather dry and tastless chicken filet. Desserts cost extra. Unless included with your tour price, I'd skip the lunch and enjoy more variety elsewhere.
