Our group was 3 couples and we did a combination tour of the newly installed Zipline, 1 hour horse ride, and then the BBQ dinner. It was our pleasure to get to know the manager Alex and his staff (Fabian, Jose, Carlos, & others). Let me start out by saying you are really missing out if you do not visit with these folks and do some of their tours. Everyone was friendly, courteous, and professional. The Zipline folks made you feel very safe and at the same time insured you really enjoyed yourself. It was a blast. None of us had done Zipline before and the 3 wives were quite scared. But they did it now are ready to do it again. Women with long hair should bring something to tie it up to avoid the possibility of it getting caught in the zipline. The first line is the biggest and longest and is quite intimidating but really fun. The others varied in length and speed, a really nice mixture. The ride though the hills was wonderful ending at dusk. We stopped halfway on a hilltop and enjoyed some beautiful views. Then, we were ready for some cervezas and food. Carlos cooked up the most fantastic BBQ including a freshly caught fish, chicken, pork, chorizo, along with some salads. It was a delicious feast that easily was the best meal we had during our 10 days in Tamarindo. Alex was the most gracious host and we all enjoyed trading stories and enjoying each others company, the food & drink, and the cool evening breezes. To conclude, this is simply a must do for anyone visiting Tamarindo.
