Large bottle of water 4 U.S. Dollars.

Hotel guest towels placed out on the clothesline to dry next to a well used busy dirty dusty road.

Food was horrible. You ordered one thing and received something completely different. If you said something about it, They would look at you like...Don't like it, Don't eat it ! and then just walk off.

Nasty, Nasty, Nasty !

“Dont bother with this hotel...”

El Milagro Hotel

Mar 2, 2008

Stayed there for 3 nights. The laundry was a joke, despite promises that my stuff would be back that day, it actually took 2 days and arrived back in a wet ball, which I had to dry myself and cost 20 dollars. Also, security was non-existant. My friend had his laptop and ALL his luggage stolen, which apparantly had happened before, and the robbers had a key. The staff spoke little English, the pub next door would rattle your fillings out till 2 in the morning on a Friday night, the safety deposit boxes in the rooms were just there for effect, the bathroom was full of bugs, and the "security" guard tried to sell us prostitutes. Yep, didnt go back..

We got there... a little shady at first but we stayed there a night and had a great time. The guys at the front Douglass and Juan were great and we partied with them that night! They showed us a great time. The room soso the experience was great. The other tennants were all young people as well. And you can walk everywhere pretty quickly... or slowly and drunk.

“Horrible Hotel”

After reading a few reviews and a recommendation from Rough Guide, I booked two days at El Milagro. When we got there, the room reeked, it was terribly small, had bugs in the bathroom and the beds were very, very uncomfortable.

After staying one night, we opted to check into a hotel down the street. We informed the clerk what the problems were and our concerns, he simply dismissed us and said we couldn't get our money back for the second night. There are numerous other good budget hotels in Tamarindo. I'd avoid Milagro at all costs.

“Nice locale”

El Milagro Hotel

May 3, 2007

Walking distance from the beach. Nice pool. Room: nice, small bungalow style, clean. Bad things: one time we came back while the cleaning woman was there, and a dog was walking around our room. The comida typica breakfast was gross reheated gallo pinto. When we first
arrived, the nice pool and grounds were infested with a large group of high schoolers. Heard from one of the employees that the manager often books larger groups.
