“Great sandwiches AND carrot cake to die for!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2012

Lovely little cafe. Great value. Owned by an expat Canadian from Toronto. She makes all her own desserts and anything else she can, like bread though sometimes she will buy local made if appropriate. Couple of sandwiches, sodas, and desserts was about $25 for two. Unfortunately the coffee is not as good as we hoped (especially for a cafe) BUT I have to qualify that...NOWHERE in Tamarindo did we get a "good" coffee (and forget about espresso). The reason seems to be all the best stuff is exported so locally they just can't get great beans. (In fairness we own an imported Italian espresso machine, grind our own beans and are a bit snobbish about this! ;) So don't hold that against this cafe. It is good food, good dessert and good value. We quote enjoyed it.

“Cappuccino milkshake. Mmmmmm....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2012 via mobile

Great place to hide out. Tucked away from all the street vendors and noise--I've been here regularly since I discovered it. Limited menu but all good!

“Nothing special”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2012

Small well aircondicioned establishment, Canadian owner. Small menu that should indicate a fast turnaround of the food stock but my Greek salad seemed to be posted from Greece, tasteless and certainly not made the same day. The sandwiches are tasteful but all is small in portion and therefore expensive. The owner does not want you to charge your laptop anymore because of the 'high cost of electricity' not so customer friendly and when you have finished your meal and using the wifi you will be asked to move to the bar and make room for other clients. Further it is clean and the coffee is good.

“Breakfast Burritos...yummm”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2012

Nice little coffee spot. We had some breakfast burritos that were good. I just had some standard coffee but it was tasty and the ladies that worked there were quite friendly. They have free wifi too.

“Fresh food and a/c”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2012 via mobile

We loved our lunch here this week. Fresh turkey sandwiches with l, t, and shaved cheese on multigrain bread. My kids were content with bagels and cream cheese. Actual Dijon mustard - a new find in CR.
