“Best Vacation Ever !!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 10, 2014

Villa Andalucia is truly an amazing place !!! Gary and Jolene treated us like long lost friends right from the moment we arrived. They are incredible hosts !!
Gary showed us around Tamarind pointing out all of the great places to eat ( which we did ). Jolene spent quality time answering all of our many questions. Felt like we were relaxing with old friends. The property is spectacular, we stayed in Casita Seville which was beautifully appointed and sparkly clean. We enjoyed all of Maria's wonderful breakfasts. Fresh fruit, pancakes, French toast and on and on !!!!
There Villa is rated #1 for a reason, we are missing it already and cannot wait to return.
Thank you so very much Gary and Jolene. We will see you soon.
Your friends Wayne and Jackie Neighbors.

My husband Jeff and I stayed with Gary and Jolene for a week in March in the villa suite. They were perfect hosts always looking for a way to make your stay fantastic. Gary took us on a tour of the town to familiarize us with the area and made many great suggestions for places to eat and visit. The breakfast provided was outstanding, the home is beautiful and comfortable, the pool was very refreshing and the dog pack (Ginger, Shadow and Frida) was great to have around! The house is in a great location allowing us to walk everywhere in town. I don't think there could be a better place to stay.

My boyfriend and I went to Tamarindo for the first time two weeks ago and had the most amazing stay at Villa Andalucia. Our room was beautiful, the main house is beautiful, and the pool is wonderfully relaxing and a nice break from the busy Tamarindo beach. Gary and Jolene are outstanding hosts! I cannot say enough positive things about both of them. They went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and welcome, gave us a great tour of the town, and had the best recommendations for where to go eat and what activities we should check out. With Gary and Jolene's knowledge, we felt like we had an insider's guide to Tamarindo compared to what we would have known by just staying at a hotel.

In addition to the amazing accommodations, Maria's breakfast is fabulous! Her french toast is the best french toast I've ever had!

On our last day in Tamarindo, we had the pleasure of going on a fishing excursion with Brooks. He is a very knowledgeable fisherman and took us to a local spot that was so beautiful and we would not have seen otherwise. I definitely recommend going on an excursion with him if you have the chance!

I highly recommend Villa Andalucia and look forward to my next stay there.

Laurie and I arrived in Liberia March 10/14. We were picked up at the airport, and driven to the B&B. Upon arrival we were treated fabulously. We stayed 2 weeks, and Jolene and Gary were the most gracious hosts. I was under the weather for a while there, and they did everything in their power to make me feel comfortable. Above and beyond what I expected. The accomadations were first class. The decor was amazing, the food was outstanding, and the hosts were so wonderful. Anything we needed to know, they helped us with and made suggestions to help make our stay so comfortable. We truly enjoyed our 2 weeks, and would not hesitate to recommend Villa Andalucia to our friends.

Villa Andalucia is the perfect balance of luxury and adventure travel. Tamarindo is a fun surf town with a casual vibe. The locals are very nice and welcoming. Villa Andalucia is located near the center of town, but just far enough away that it’s quiet and you feel safe. We walked home from town one night around 1am and we were very happy to see plenty of other people walking around the town. There were a few days that we felt like be lazy, so we laid by the pool at the Villa or took a nap in our room. The Villa itself is gorgeous. The grounds are meticulously maintained and the décor is very authentic.

What set Villa Andalucia apart from any vacation we have had were the owners Gary and Jolene. They go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and accommodated. Gary took us on a city tour, so we would understand the town and gave us some recommendations of things to try or places to eat. Jolene helped us arrange our activities for the week and was diligent about making sure we had everything we needed. We genuinely felt like we were visiting family (without the hassle).

Lastly, I HAVE to mention BROOKS!!!! I have taken so many tours while on a vacation and have always been disappointed. Brooks gave my husband and I surfing lessons and took us snorkeling. It was so nice to have a private guide without spending crazy money to have the privacy. Brooks was completely devoted to making sure we enjoyed the experience. Our trip would have been great without Brooks, but with Brooks, our vacation was excellent!

Room Tip: We stayed in one of the rooms in the main house. Our room was just as nice as any of our rooms in th...

What can one possibly say that has not already been said about this wonderful place. This was our 5th visit to the Tamarindo area and our most enjoyable. Gary and Jolene are the most fabulous gracious hosts. They respect you privacy but are always there to entertain your questions or for a good conversation.
From there location you can easily walk to the heart of Tamarindo or simply just relax by the pool with a good book.

Room Tip: Brooks is a great person to book a fishing excursion! Both for value and his knowledge!! Shop loca...

We just returned from our amazing trip to Costa Rica. When we arrived we were absolutely exhausted having left our home at 5 am and not arriving till 6 pm (we flew into San Jose) and Garry was waiting at the gate to greet us. We were greeted with a warm hug which was so nice after such a long day of travel. We were shown to our room and then Garry took us on a tour of the town and dropped us off at a restaurant to eat. We stayed in Casita Sevilla and we were so very comfortable. The casita was very well appointed, beautifully decorated and roomy. The backyard for our Casita was so comfortable. The hammocks became our "special" place after a day at the beach and cooling off in the pool. We just loved laying there, talking about our day, enjoying the breeze and listening to the sounds around us. The pool area is also fantastic, a beautiful oasis after a scorching day at the beach. Breakfasts were amazing, you have to try the coconut/macadamia nut pancakes, simply delicous. My husband and I were on a bit of a budget and looked for deals at the restaurants. Our favorite place to eat for value for money and amazing food was the Falafel bar...I loved the Chicken Schnizel which came with 2 salads, the freshest best tasting hummus i have ever had, pita bread and fries...all for $8.00. Jolene was away on business during our stay but she was very helpful when I emailed her many many questions before we arrived and Garry, Brooks and Maria were all lovely. We absolutely loved our stay at Villa Andalucia and if we every return to Tamarindo we would definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: The walk up and down the hill to town and to the beach was very tough on our feet and ankles. The r...
