On our last night in Costa Rica, we decided to go to Nibbana for supper because it had decent reviews on TripAdvisor and the menu looked very yummy. We were quickly seated at a table with a menu and listened to the live music and then we waited, and waited and waited and waited. After about 15 minutes, I asked someone (a manager) if it would be possible for someone to come and take our drink order. He asked a server (in front of us) if this was his section and he said no. We were then told that he would find the persons who was. We waited another 10 minutes and still no service. By now we were both getting very thirsty and hungry, so I went up to the manager and asked if someone was going to service us at which point in time, he told me that I should just order my food at the bar as it would be faster. I was rather taken aback by this comment and said that we were going to leave, to which he responded "that was okay because they were busy and really, he was only responsible for the music"
Frankly, I was appalled at this level of service. I know of only 1 other time when I have walked out of a restaurant. Fortunately, the next restaurant that we went to, Copacabana, was probably the best meal of our entire trip - so that was one good thing that came out of stopping here.
