“excellent experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2013

Make a reservation to ensure you get in as it is in high demand. The staff are very friendly, and full of information if asked. The food was great. The night we were there we were treated to a street artist group doing a fire dance which was cool and entertaining. The local musical entertainment was quite talented and enhanced the evening. We did want to get a dessert but did not due to seemingly being forgotten by our waiter due to the busyness of the restaurant, but we were full anyway. I just wanted to see the banana flambe. Next time.

“Best atmosphere in Tamarindo with awesome shows”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2013

Wife and I ate here on our last night in Tamarindo. Has a large menu with reasonablish prices ($10-$25). The location is right on the beach and offers the best atmosphere we found in town (at night). Our server seemed a bit extended but the manager came around a couple times. We did get to sit through a long fire show which was awesome and in the end our server brought us a free after dinner drink made from a Costa Rican liquor and coconut milk. Bottom line, above average food with great atmosphere and occasional traveling shows.

“Happy Hour!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2013 via mobile

We used to go here when other owners had it. We walked in for a drink, and the waiter told us if we went to the bar ourself we could get two for one. What a guy! Saved us a few bucks. Right on the beach. We even met some new friends at the next table that live close to us in Oregon. We will be back!

“Hmmm, April Fools??”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2013 via mobile

Read the reviews, but had seen a portion of the fire show the night before as walking along the beach which intrigued us. You walk in and nothing, you look around, they say look for the girl, hmmmm. Finally a girl seats us, but it's not all sand, it's washed rock halfway, so dissapointed we had to sit on the rocks and not put our feet in the sand. Finally we got to order our drinks(only one of the night, as we were never asked again!). Then some girl wanders past us with our drinks then back to the bar, then back again and we flagged her down and told her they were ours. The meal was ok, but not maybe as we were expecting. The service was terrible though, we saw the waiter a total of three times. The flame throwers were very good, and one of the biggest highlights was when the roving musicians came through and played a song at the table. And unfortunately it may have been the wind direction, but the smell of garbage kept wafting through as we dined.

Definitely not a place we will go back to on this trip.....,

Thanks for your comments! Although we strive for perfect service, clearly we did not meet our service expectations on your visit. Unfortunately on your visit our beach seating was full-we are one of the most popular destinations in Tamarindo. We highly recommend reservations to ensure you can be seated exactly where you would like.We are addressing your comments and hope to see you again-No Fooling.

“Great Meal and Show. Slow Service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2013 via mobile

We had dinner and enjoyed the flame throwing show. All the entertainers worked hard and put on a great show while we waited for dinner. Cook time was 50 minutes and our server had no personality.
