I stayed at FTs for an extended period of time when I was in between homes here in Tamarindo. The staff is super nice and accommodating (providing coffee before restaurant opening hours, and cleaning your room when you choose). The place is located right on the main road, directly across the beach, and in the center of town. The rooms are standard, but very clean, and extremely safe. The food in the restaurant is fabulous and inexpensive, and they have a selection for all tastes. There are always people dinning or just having a few beers after a surf session, so if you want to meet other travelers this is a friendly place to do so.

Apparently the staff will host random parties when they choose. I'm writing this review because it is 10 min to midnight, on a Sunday of all nights, and the base of the stereo is still pumping - even after registering a complaint to the staff. Absolutely no sense of customer service. And having spent 3 years coming and going to Tamarindo, this will be my last stay at, and recommendation to stay, at FT's.

Just spent some time in Tamarindo and FT's is a great spot. The food is excellent and very reasonably priced. Burrito's are very good (had a few of these) and the menu has alot of options. All-in-all a great spot and it's open pretty late for the area (11pm).

This place has the perfect blend between Costa Rica and the USA. The rooms are spacious and offer everything needed for a trip to the beach! Also its a short walking distance from the beach, the nightlife (bars, clubs, etc) and many restaurants in the area. As for the food, it was AMAZING. Their menu offers typical costa rican food (made by locals) and tons of kid friendly food (burgers, chicken and nachos). The burritos are my favorite. The staff is friendly and always helpful! If you're looking for a place with a good location and a fantastic value, FT's is definitely for you!
