After fleeing our first hotel in Samara, my friend and I stumbled upon this place wandering around asking every hotel about vacancies. The Italian owner we SO kind and helpful. We were able to secure a room for our last night. We dropped our bags off and grabbed some breakfast before returning to check in. The owner and his wife had already placed our bags in the room when we returned. Complete with free washing machine and clothes line (plus free detergent) and a full service kitchen for guests (microwave, fridge, stove, oven, pots, pans, plates, utensils, and that awesome grilled cheese sandwich maker I had when i was kid), this place was everything we could hope for at a very reasonable price. Each of the four guest rooms comes with an AC unit, plug-in fan and cable TV. The two-floor facility has two toilets and one indoor and one outdoor shower (the outdoor shower has frost-glass). We never ran into problems with having to share the bathroom (even with every room being occupied), and the owners kept them spotless. We had cold water showers, if there was hot water, we didn't ask about it, but it was fine since we were pretty warm from sitting on the beach all day. The location is perfect, just a block off the main beach and one block off the main strip of restaurants, shops and bars in Samara. Close by are the tourist center and internet place, the SuperMercado, ATM and Shake Joe's beachside bar. A couple of convenience stores are just around the corner as well. The beds were about average from other places we stayed, not great, but not terrible. Thanks to the great owners, perfect location, and awesome value, the end of our trip was saved.
