“The best stay in Costa Rica!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2012

Entre Dos Aguas was one of the best stays I have had in quite some time, and I am a travel photographer. Thanks to Budget Travel magazine's article on the town of Samara, we knew to book our stay at Entre Dos Aguas, but we had no idea it would be THIS awesome! Both Brandon & Lilah were very helpful in letting us know where to eat and surf and take day trips. We stayed in the tree house which was an amazing large room with a balcony and kitchen. We also spent lots of time in the lobby's hammocks and the private pool. I HIGHLY recommend staying here, ASAP!

Room Tip: "Splurge" for the tree house!

We stayed here for two nights but I could have stayed for weeks! Our party was 3 adults and a baby and we stayed in the tree house. It's so nice and so big! The big bed was very comfortable and convenient for us with the baby. The pool was lovely as were the hammocks in the common area. The owners were away when we were there but Mike was a great host! THE BEST VALUE IN COSTA RICA!!! Oh yeah, and there was a family of 9 monkeys that had breakfast and lunch beside our balcony every day, which was so cool!!

My parents and I stayed at this lovely hotel in mid July for 5 days and we were extremely happy with our experience. The hotel is about a five-minute walk to the beach, very reasonably priced, includes a breakfast and a communal kitchen for cooking. The rooms are large and the stone shower is a great touch. My favorite part was the relaxing outdoor lounge area – I really enjoyed reading or dozing off in one of the hammocks after a long day at the beach. The owners are extremely knowledgeable about Samara and traveling around the Nicoya Peninsula. Really great spot!

It was so cozy and inviting here, we stayed longer than we intended! The prices were great, the location was fantastic - Samara is small and cute, and everything is walkable, but it's also a good central location on the Nicoya Peninsula for driving excursions. The owner, Brandon, was super accommodating in helping us get to know the area, and plan our trip while we were there. I loved the big dish of fresh fruit every morning, and all the other guests just hanging out on the hammocks reading and relaxing. We stayed in the "penthouse suite", and the room was amazing - clean and totally comfortable, the kitchen great for cooking our own meals, and we even swam in the pool. I didn't especially like the dogs, I'm not gonna lie, but I'm not a dog person...my boyfriend loved the dogs, so there you go.

Room Tip: The penthouse if you can afford it!!

My wife and I stayed this past July and had a wonderful time. The owners are very helpful and full of information about the town. The rooms are perfect if you are looking for simple and quite. There are two wonderful lounging areas, one with tables and one with hammocks. They are great for playing games, reading or even to just sit and watch TV or surf the internet with the free WiFi. The surroundings are very green and beautiful with a perfect swimming pool and places to just chill. There is also a place to cook and a fridge to put food or drink which is a great way to save money. The owners also have beverages and some snacks that you can get on a honor system. It is very easy to feel at home and comfortable at entre dos aguas. Breakfast is every morning and included with the stay. If you are looking to relax and be comfortable this is the place, if you are expecting an all inclusive resort head to nosara. Thank you very much Brandon hope you and the family are well.

We call in this way for the bad smell in the room. The problem was that outside, in the small beautiful garden the situation was even worst with the two big stinky dogs.
Finally, in the morning we always had to wait for the poor breakfast considering that the girl got up later than half of the guests.
Maybe it is good for young students, not for families and clean lovers.

Enjoyed staying in Entre Dos Aguas because of the size of the hotel ( I think there are 7 rooms). The hosts are very helpful with advice about restaurants and places to see. Breakfast was included in the reasonable price and the beverages were available on an 'honour' system which was nice to see. Coffee and tea were available all day long. Particularly pleasing was the relaxing area with chairs and hammocks to read, relax or encounter the other guests to chat and talk travel. Many budget travellers appreciate the fact that they can cook their own dinners and there is a frig, gas cooker and all the utensils available to them. The animals are friendly but initally, they can be a bit intimidating for those who are frightened of large dogs. The rooms were clean and the showers spectacular. Had a wonderful stay.
