Me and my wife and our 3 children stayed at Hotel Esperanza for a week, and we had a great time. It didn't take us long to feel just at home here, and we would absolutely stay here again if we returns to the pacific coast of Costa Rica. The owner Dennis and the manager Erwin and the rest of the staff were very helpful in all matters.
The poolarea was great because it was so close to the rooms, and we could look after our children while we were relaxing in the sunchairs or having a refreshment in the restaurant.
The rooms are nice and clean and the food is delicious!
All in all a fantastic place to spend some time at the beautifull Playa Carillo:-)

The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We had left our cell phone charger at home. They went out of their way and found one from someone in the community so that we could charge our 2 phones.

The hotel is very clean.

The hotel has a great layout. Every room is within 4 or 5 meters of the pool and within 10 to 15 meters of the restaurant. That makes it very convenient when you have kids.

The food is really good. Great pizza and good fish!

We had the opportunity to meet the owner. Real down to earth kind of guy who is very customer focused. He's got a great vision for his place there.

From the moment we arrived (one day earlier than planned) until the time of checkout, my husband and I were treated like members of the family by Irwin and staff at Esperanza. His first words to us were , treat this as your home. The hotel is situated on a hill 200 yards from the Carillo Beach (walking). We stayed there for 5 days and enjoyed every day. Perfect for wandering down to the beach at 6.00 and 16.00 and lazing about at the pool during the heat of the day. The food was wonderful and I'd highly recomend this to any one. $2 taxi fare to Samara if you feel the need to shop otherwise Perfect.

My boyfriend & I drove by the Hotel Esperanza and we really liked the look of the place. The manager and staff welcome us as if we were family. We stayed 2 nights and had a wonderful time. The rooms which had been renovated within the last year were very clean and lovely. Breakfast was included and was very good. We came back a week later and again stayed at the Hotel Esperanza for 3 more nights. We met the owner who also make us feel at home. They were just opening the restrauant and had a new chef. The pizza and pasta were excellent. I would definitely recommend this hotel. For good service; friendly staff; clean rooms and great food you will be impressed.
