Awesome spot on Playa Samara. Sit in a hammock in the shade of the palms and watch the people walk by and the gentle surf or lay in a lounge chair poolside and gaze at the sun shining on the blue waters of the Pacific. This place really does get a nice breeze as well. The rooms are clean but a bit utilitarian. Our bed was ok for comfort and breakfast was good and tables overlooked the beach. The downside is the apparent owners are a bit unfriendly, made one feel a bit unwelcome. Staff was great though and the separate owner of the restaurant/bar on the property was great.

Las Brisas was a perfect spot to unwind and begin our trip to Costa Rica and Nicaragua. For us, being right on the beach was a must. Our room was basics but quite large and fine. The staff were cordial, but seemed absolutely uninterested. Still, I would return there for the location and value?

Stayed two days the hotel is right on the beach. The beach is nice quite and unspoiled. Rooms could use an update. Restaurant rocks. Pool scene very quiet and relaxed. Guest seem to be hiding through out the day giving a very peacefull feel

We stayed for only one night, thankfully, in January (2013) as we were passing through. As many reviewers noted, the location is ideal and quite beautiful. However, the owner is terrible. He sits in the center of the pool/bar/restaurant area at a wood table (all the surrounding tables are plastic) with his cigarette, guard, drink, and disgusting emphysema cough. While his depressing presence totally ruined my time there, the worst moment was watching him (78 years?) stumble away with a young girl (16 years?) who clearly showed up around 9 pm to escort him out. What a horrible experience.
