My husband and I visited Choco's surf school last week and were dissapointed in the service. Choco greeted us, introduced himself and handed us over to Marco. They both seemed very nice. Marco however was distracted from the beginning. He never looked at us as he spoke. He was constantly looking over us to the other side of the beach. My husband said he was checking out the girls. I don't know. He gave me a yellow board and my husband a white board. He gave us all the instructions and showed us what to do then left us to practice by ourselves. He got back and took us in the water where he half heartedly showed us when to take the waves, etc. My husband got up on the board right away and did well. I was having trouble and was having a hard time getting feedback from Marco so I got up a couple of times but not well. I took a break and Marco left. My husband then tried to help me and so he put his board up. I eventually called it quits so my husband took my board since Marco was using his with another client. My husband was unable to get up on my board. It may have just been the wrong size or it may have just been a crappy board. We enjoyed learning but were very dissapointed in the service.
