This place has soooooooo much potential. It has a great Ambience with very comfy loungers and seating areas. The food was good, however the service is really bad and slow . Compared to others in the area. No smiles and no enthusiasm it seems to be an effort for some of the staff. Drinks were very good. Management need to have a chat with staff.

Right down the beach from our hotel, it has outstanding appetizers, large enough to share and call it lunch. You can't beat the 2 for 1 cocktails special that lasts all day. The ambience is great--comfortable, padded chairs right on the beach and a terrific view of the surfers!
we came to this place because all the other Italian restaurants were still closed.. People told us there was an Italian chef in the kitchen - and yes: this was real Italian food! Very tasty at a reasonable price.
Locanda has the same opportunity as its neighbors along the beach, but it just doesn't seem to enjoy the same happy vibe as the other places. I keep hearing it's for sale (can't confirm) and maybe it is just that the owner wants out and that feeling flows downhill al the way to the staff and the attentiveness.
The ambiente is nice. Restaurant sits on the beach. The every aspect of the service was slow even for CR. Food was not a "wow". Had a meat casado and the beef was very thin and very tough, almost unchewable.
